I'm still surprised Syd didn't end up in an asylum. He basically experienced a scene out of a horror movie first hand, and no one would ever believe him when he tells them about it. Can't imagine how much therapy he needed to end up normal a few years later.

It's relaxing, doesn't require huge feats of athleticism and you can socialize while you play. It's similar levels of leisure to playing billiards or fishing. Just having a chill time doing something simple that you can get better at over time

Some will even have booze with them doing these things.

But like imagine a NBA or NFL player turning up a 40 of Mickey's on the bench or sidelines.
