Worked at my local newspaper from 1991 to 1998 in sales and mail.

Not a scrap of news got past me.

I know so much I've forgotten most things.

Anyway there was a guy that would have a section or two a week.

I assume that he was a Preacher.

He would say things about guys with long hair.

Girls in short dresses or tight pants.

Said that people acting like fools at the carnival was doomed for hell unless they change their evil ways.

Hell even onetime one of his own siblings countered him with a message saying that he was too extreme.

I liked the Tom Cruise one although the kids were kind of annoying.

Tried to watch the original and couldn't get past those cheesy 50s special effects. Not a fan of old movies in general. The acting style was so unnatural. No one really talked like a normal person.

Like how the scientist throws out some scientific jibber jabber instead of simply saying how the pods have some kind of shield.
