They hadn't even designed his tattoo yet. He never takes off his jacket in Y1. All you see is some ink sticking out on his left pectoral (and not his right) so they hadn't even thought through what the final design would look like.

Anyway he is certainly a virtuous character, and he does stuff, but I always felt like he wasn't much more than a support for whoever the main character was. I really don't think that, despite the amount of screen time, that there was any kind of real exploration of his character.

OT: Guides Luke around, dies, continues to guide Luke.
EP1: Follows Quan Chi around, and then once his master dies, Obi-Wan follows his wishes.
EP2: When he's not off doing the Kamino/Geonosis mission, he's picking on Anakin.
EP3: Hangs out with Anakin in the beginning, mostly involving complaining, then goes off to Utapau to swan about with Grievous, then the big showdown.

What does Obi-Wan want? What are his feelings on the Jedi as a whole? Why does he keep going? These things are never explored. I can't even recall them being explored in TCW. The best we can say is that he's a really good Jedi who is basically unshakeable until the end of ROTS.

There's plenty of stuff he does in the movies and shows, but I feel that makes him more of a blank video game protagonist than anything else.

Like it's fine if that's all he is, but I don't think it makes him a "good character".

This topic reminds me I did the right thing with my last gf by talking to her about it in person when we were alone.

The substories in Yakuza 1 were just so flaccid. It's usually pretty easy to tell the substories that were added for Kiwami.

Because they get an extra hour of daylight at night. People who stay up all night and sleep all day don't give a fuck about having to wake up/drive to work in the dark.

Well there's my point. Why would they be for it when, as you allege, they operate completely outside of the day/night cycle?

There are actually good reasons to use standard time over DST, but either way is better than switching IMO.

Of course CE is all for this cuz either they have no idea which one is standard/daylight savings or they sleep until 10:00am every morning.

Why would people who don't care what time it is be for this? Do you even know who you're denigrating or why you're doing it, or does this mode just come naturally to you?

Anyway, I'm glad Maul won't be in Kenobi. Going by the movies alone, they barely have enough interaction to constitute an antagonism. Maul kills Quan Chi Jinn. Kenobi kills Maul. The end. Resolved.

Then they brought him back for Clone Wars. Then they tried to force an antagonism between the two, but it never seemed in TCW like Kenobi bothered giving Maul the time of day (even with Satine being killed by Maul), and Maul had his shit with the Nightsisters and his brother and that all fell apart, leaving it with nothing when TCW stopped.

Then Rebels happened and Maul actually became a character again with his interactions with Ezra. Then he got his final reckoning against Kenobi and it's my favorite lightsaber battle in the mythos. Kenobi STILL doesn't give Maul the time of day, but this time it works because Maul is played off as this possessed weirdo obsessed with nothing but winning against him. And he loses. And dies. And it's great.

Then he's in Solo for a cameo and I don't care because he already died. Then he's in the last season of TCW and fights Ahsoka and FINE I guess, because at least it wraps up his dangling end-of-TCW plotline.

So yeah, no need for Maul.

I'd assume Carol was on earth alot between Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

Pretty sure one of the early lines in Endgame is that Carol is spending much of her time dealing with the rest of the galaxy while the other Avengers are dealing with Earth.

And even were that the case, it wouldn't mean that Carol is a public figure like Tony or Steve.

Started yesterday's session in catacombs and ended it in another catacombs lol.
