She's pretty anti-trans, but you're absolutely right about people being able to separate the art from the artist. Harry Potter is bigger than JK Rowling will ever be. In fact, many of JK Rowling's books either don't sell very well or get badly reviewed, she's a one-hit wonder with the Harry Potter books.

On one hand, I agree that there felt like there was no urgency to the overall "end of the world" plot, but on the other hand I do enjoy the individual stories each of the family members have. All of them are unlikable in their own unique ways that I find them interesting and fun. One thing I love most about these super hero shows is when they interact with each other, which this show has a lot of.

I remember some years ago, there were like 3 or 4 users giving me shit because I found the concept of Leo dating and breaking up with women at the age of 25 to be funny. Even one of them said that Camila was going to be the one to break that cycle. Well, I guess that user is sorta right because he held on to her for 4 months before breaking up lol.

To reiterate, I don't have a problem with old guys dating young girls, I just find to concept of someone having dating and breaking up patterns to be hilarious.

The goofy pronunciation comes from the fact the Vietnamese use the Latin alphabet themselves. We use the spelling they use rather than spelling it so that we can pronounce it which leads to some spellings that leave basically anyone that speaks a European language scratching their head.

Turkish has the same issue.

When I was a kid, I had no idea why every American I met couldn't pronounce my last name correctly "Nguyen" until I realized that Americans don't have a sound of 'Ng" together unless it's a "-ing". I hate having to mispronounce my last name as "nuh-guy-in" anytime someone asks for my last name on phone or else they won't be able to spell it correctly or find it in their database if I say it correctly.

If you actually want to say it correctly with the correct pronunciation, say "fuh" like you are asking a question. It is very easy since majority of the vietnamese language is one syllable. The hardest part about Vietnamese is the same as french, mispronouncing while not using the right accent makes it an entirely different word.

Yeah, the whole line of thinking is almost in reverse order. The self-worth should come before the girlfriend. Because that's what will attract a potential girlfriend. And "self-worth" can come from simply having a positive attitude. It doesn't need to be attached to money, status, career accomplishments, or anything like that. If you're fun to be around, then people will like being around you.

Bingo, too many single guys think that having a girlfriend or getting laid will somehow relieve them of feeling lonely. I think the reason many single guys feel that way is because they never got a chance to have a girlfriend for whatever reason like social anxiety towards the opposite sex or lack of self-esteem to do so. Working on yourself should absolutely be the first thing every guy should try to strive for first. The counterpoint I hear from guys who hate my advice about self-worth always say "but women don't have to work that hard to give themselves self-worth" and I answer them that they got their own shit to worry about that most men in their life probably would never deal with. There's no reason to play oppression Olympics and work with what you're given.

I don't think the MAGA crowd is the types to watch Euphoria.

Most fighting games tend to have higher barriers of entry that don't lend to the "easy to learn hard to master" as most other genres have. Sure that barrier of entry has been reduced with a lot of modern games now, but I'm just speaking of generality and especially in the past.

Some barrier of entry include: Full price tag upfront if you want to be matched with people around your skill level. The longer a fighting game is in circulation, the more likely you're going to be pitted against people who've played the game for almost all of their life. This also means you can't just "try" a game to see if you like it or not, you have to commit to it or return the game which is an additional step. Second barrier of entry is: most games being 1v1. Playing 1v1 just means more anxiety, any mistake you make is on you and the only thing you can either blame is the online if it "lags" on you. You notice the most popular multiplayer games tend to have either a battle royale element where there's a third party that can get between you and your enemies or team base where it takes some of that anxiety away from you. The third barrior of entry is the controls like motion inputs: if you don't commit to memorizing and learning how to play the game it's super difficult to get into. The final barrier of entry is the thing I fucking hate the most: garbage netcode like DBFZ and Smash Ultimate.

Like I said all of this barrier of entry stuff is being solved more and more with future fighting games, which is absolutely a good sign for things to come. Project L will be the testament to see if F2P traditional fighting games can be viable or not.

I just passed 4 cars on my way to the car because I teach part-time at a University and they call have white letters on their windshield wipers because they're all parked back in. Mind you, these aren't even "angled" parking spots, just regular ones. The previous university I taught also had a rule like this as well (and I got a ticket for it as well even though I'm a professor). It makes no sense and I honestly feel bad for these guys. What's the practical reason for only allowing "head in" parking?
