The most plausible theory I've heard actually has Tokyo Xanadu as the culprit.

You can pretty neatly draw a line in the timeline through Tokyo Xanadu with the before being XSEED basically being the exclusive English localization partner and them basically being shut out.

The story, IIRC, is basically that Falcom pitched Tokyo Xanadu to XSEED and they turned it down because it was a Vita only title at a time where the Vita was already dead outside of Japan. So Falcom shopped it around and Aksys bit. Unknown to XSEED or Aksys was that Falcom was working on the Tokyo Xanadu ex PS4 port which all of a sudden made it a much more viable title.

But basically ever since then Falcom has basically been working with NIS and I believe there's also a connection at the highest levels there in Japan as well. We know XSEED tried to get Ys VIII but obviously that went to NISA. Don't know if they tried for CS3 but we all know how things went from there.

Pretty sure XSEED is on the record as Falcom having approached them and asked them to localize Cold Steel when they did.

Keep in mind, this was all going down while SC was still in limbo, nevermind Crossbell.

Honestly, part of me wonders if simultaneous platform release is also partly responsible for the gap increasing. PS4 previously enjoyed getting the first release basically a year ahead of PC/Switch.

But we need to talk about how unforgivable the treatment of the sword relic was by Arondir and to a lesser extent Galadriel. *No one* checked to make sure they had the right thing? In Galadriel's defense she was never told exactly what it should have been but Arondir wtf. And then thinking you still had the real one you give it to Theo instead of making sure that thing stays with Numenor?

Punished Galadriel finally getting the war and stage setting she always dreamed of. I'm also raising Halbrand on my "is actually Sauron" threatdown list. So much of his later scenes with Adar and Galadriel just felt off to me.

Also an obligatory reminder that Trump put Chao in his Cabinet and she was one of the very few who was there (almost) the entire term. (Resigned a few days after 1/6)

I've enjoyed Rings of Power but I'm easy to please. Like Leon though I don't think there's anything mindblowing but it's been good.

I am not remotely qualified to speculate on what happened wrt the pipelines but for a motive for Russia I feel it's pretty simple.

Raise FUD over energy and hope that along with winter you can drive a wedge in Europe's unity on energy. Didn't energy prices jump with this news even if logically you can go "well why would it matter?" Also to use the damage as an excuse to move into that area under the pretense of maintenance. Wasn't there a prior incident where something "went wrong" with a pipeline and sanctions loomed large over it and Russia basically tried to extract concessions from Europe in order to "fix" it?

Not to say this means Russia definitely did it because I still dunno if the risks outweigh the rewards at all there but Russia hasn't shown any strategic competence lately. Unless this is some intra-faction stuff in Russia. The US though? That would be absolutely insane and is pretty unbelievable on pretty much every level.

Biden's quote on the pipelines from February is devoid of the context that like two weeks later when Russia actually invaded Ukraine the pipeline was stopped so he "got" what he wanted. And if I have the right Polish politican there I think he goes on in the tweet chain to suggest it was Russia who did it.

I'd say the chief difference is that Clinton doesn't appear to have any aspirations for office anymore whereas Trump either was running for POTUS, was POTUS, or at the moment is clearly gearing up to run again and even holding rallies again.

If she was running for something or was in the Cabinet or something than yeah obviously this would be worthy of calling out. But at this point it honestly feels like she's only brought up these past few years because she lives rent free in so many people's heads and is guaranteed to rile them up.

I think the rest time non-hurry-up provides offenses (and both opposite units on the sidelines) is valuable; you'd see more mistakes and out of sync plays without it, and probably more sacks from tired O line. It's the opportunity to enforce when the hurry-up happens that makes it like ez mode.
