Well, I think it's more of a unique situation but one of the ones in Crossbell had its chest dialogue change for the festival and has now changed back now that I'm in Intermission.

the dealer beat my straight with a flush he made with two 4 of spades in his hand and i just had to sit there and take it. casinos brazenly cheating against police officers never has the lack of respect for the cpd been made more evident.

(I saw a few hands where they had impossible hands like this and as far as I can tell the CPU is able to draw the community cards into their hand... and then play them with the community cards themselves to make hands which is obviously not something it should be able to do. Might be more to it because if that was all I think it'd happen more often than it seems to but maybe not idk)

My jury duty saga has ended.

Was initially asked to report on Monday like 3-4 weeks ago or whatever. Was selected but the jury wasn't full yet so was told to return on Wednesday (selection would continue on Tuesday) and the trial would start.

Show up Wednesday. After waiting in the waiting room over an hour past the report time they announce that something came up and today was cancelled and to come back Monday.

On Friday get a phone call that is "actually forget that. Don't come Monday. We'll call you again on [today] and on that call we'll tell you when you have to come in, but it'll probably be the following Monday."

So here comes today and that phone call. "Actually we don't need you at all. Your service is complete. Happy Thanksgiving."

Well, that was quite the ride.

I didn't hate Takumi but I didn't like him either. I know he isn't particularly meant to be likable but I feel like I'm usually still pretty receptive to those kinds of characters but he still bounced off me for the most part.

Chaos;Head Noah beated.

Pretty good VN but definitely not on the level of Steins;Gate and Chaos;Child IMO. Better than Robotics;Notes though, I think. A little disappointed in how short the character routes (and true route which wasn't really a route at all) were, but oh well. Sena and Ayase's were probably the best of those. Sena because she's the best and also because the chat with the Committee of 300 was some of the best/most tense intrigue in the game and Ayase's because it just became metal af at the end lmao. Rimi's not bad either because more Shogun content always great.

Characters: Sena > Shogun > Ayase > Kozue > Ban > Rimi > Nanami > Momo > Takumi > Norose > Yua > Misumi > Suwa > Hazuki

Or something. Sena and Shogun were excellent. Ayase a small step behind them. Kozue is just a really fun and fascinating character. Ban through Norose/Yua is probably the next tier. Suwa and Hazuki not great.

Next up probably Trails from Zero because while I think I want to replay Chaos;Child now I don't know if I want to go back to back on that. That Utawarerumono interquel with Oshtor snuck up on me and actually just came out the other day but I hear it has some bugs like disappearing text and stuff so maybe I'll wait for a patch but the real reason is I kind of want to pray for a console release (even though it's highly unlikely we'd get this far with no announcement of one) because like Library of Ruina my computer is technically not meeting the minimum requirements but push comes to shove I might see if it works anyway.

The traffic will probably kill Twitter too so they can care even less because how much of it will even get out now?

I got 150 in Blue and that was it... I think. I likely got very close in GSC but I can't remember for sure where that ended up. I don't think I made it to 250 or whatever it was then but I can't quite rule it out.

If we're counting Mew though to make RBY 151 then I never got there.

Chaos;Head Noah Update:

Reached the first/common route ending. I knew most of the big twists from remembering the anime when I watched that leading into playing Chaos;Child way back when but one that still got me and I thought was cool was that all the scenes focusing on the other characters were literally witnessed by Takumi using his powers so once he fully awakened to them he could access the information from them.

Currently speeding through with skip mode to see the alternate delusion scene results by taking the other options before I go for the other endings. Some of them are really good. Negative delusions on the whole seem like the best but some of the "no delusion" scenes are excellent as well.

You'd know better than me if the Alabama loss hurts or help. My very uninformed opinion says it helps by removing the "Alabama wins the SEC, UGA tags along at 1 loss" scenario but idk does a "worse" Alabama hurt more than that?

Actually, I must live in my own personal hell because F/GO put up a surprise banner (Since the Global Server runs 2 years behind Japan we basically know when things will happen) that didn't exist in Japan that actually had my next target on it as well as another Servant I value highly so it was just a flatout superior version of the target banner I was looking at around New Years.

But, of course, I went broke days before so fuck my life.

I turned on Tennessee/Georgia and UGA scored 14 unanswered so in a last ditch effort to help you I have switched off it for good.

Just checked my karma for the first time in years. Well, got a few more years to go until whatever is next.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker beated. Good game, it was cool having to manage a kingdom alongside adventuring. Some areas had big performance drops though it was probably my potato computer's fault and god help me if a thunderstorm started in-game lol.

I'm being told that the Kaguya-sama manga just ended. I wonder how long it will take for the anime to cover it all.

I mean, in terms of number of chapters I think Season 3 took them a hair over halfway? That movie will probably cover about a volume or so? I guess in theory 5 or 6 seasons total? I feel like it'd be closer to 6 because it just feels like it'd be a lot to cover but idk.

Some context, because I needed it: The driver in question was trying to get into one of the four spots eligible to compete for the championship and this was the last race before it. So he just drove up against the wall and just slammed the pedal down and passed enough people and got a fast enough lap to qualify on points.

Other racers are already saying NASCAR should ban the move lmfao. (It does look quite dangerous although I don't know if that's why they're complaining)

Well, gacha has defeated me.

I just ruined my plans for all of 2023 in Fate/Grand Order over a Servant I didn't really care about all that much just because I was in disbelief about how the gacha could just be that uncooperative. Basically blew all the gacha currency I saved up over a year and just missed entirely so now I'm basically broke when 2023 has (or had now I guess) a bunch of Servants I did want and the whole point of saving was to have a warchest for it.

Oh, yeah, I never got around to writing my own LotR: Rings of Power beated post.

Halbrand's reveal while partially called by me after he was very sus that other episode was still really well done in his scenes with Galadriel IMO. Stranger was always a flip of the coin between Sauron and Gandalf IMO and it was kinda funny to have that stalker trio make the same mistake lol. That said, I think I'd prefer it if he was one of the other wizards for some reason I can't really explain but he's like 99.9% Gandalf so eh. I guess the drama, at least for Galadriel and Elrond, for Season 2 will be Elrond having figured out that Halbrand wasn't who he said he was and suspecting Galadriel of having fallen because she hasn't explained the situation to anyone which I'm not particularly looking forward to.

Still enjoyed the season though! Haven't watched House of the Dragon and am unsure if I will so no comparison issues for me.

Nope, once you're pulled out of the game you're done.

You'd theoretically have to have a non-pitcher act as the pitcher (a position player, like Leon said). Like swapping a pitcher who just can't throw anymore with like your center fielder. For obvious reasons this usually doesn't go well. You'll sometimes see a team who is getting blown out do something like this on purpose just to not waste the energy of their pitchers in a hopeless effort.

Edit: And it took until the top of the 18th but we've got a HR for a 1-0 game. but for the wrong team. seattle plz.

LotR Rings of Power Episode 7: Huh, maybe it's just me but with Numenor going back for reinforcements and all it really feels like a lot of the last few episodes were basically filler.

Jakyl is just positing subjective morality it's nothing too complicated. I mean, my take on this matches up with NFUN in that I don't think the root cause matters so much as the fact that clearly we as a society have decided that animal cruelty is bad and should be illegal (caveats again, etc.)

Again, that Oz conducted tests on animals is not the story. It's the conditions and actions taken with the dogs in the study.

It's like responding to a report of "John Wilkes Booth shoots Lincoln" with "Americans shooting guns is commonplace and legal, why is this a story?" That wasn't what the story was!
