How old is the insulation in the attic? I had to climb my happy ass up there and do it myself. Only took a few hours but i wouldn't wish that on anyone.
This is another thing. Make sure you spend your first year fixing the insulation and seals around the windows and outer doors. You'll save a ton of money. My first year a friend and I rented a insulation blower and bags of insulation from Lowes and made it snow. Knocked off $30 a month on the electric bill.

Look into a home warranty. Costs us ~$950 a year with a $80 charge each time we call them out but it's completely worth it. Our warranty covers all our appliances, HVAC, heating, electrical, and plumbing in the house. If something breaks, I'll do some quick research to determine how easy/cheap it would be for me to fix it. If it's less than the $80 charge, I take care of it and learn something in the process. Otherwise I call them out to fix it. Turn around time is generally ~2 days.

Last year we had a blower motor go out on the HVAC. Part would have cost $650 + installation if we didn't have the warranty. Instead we paid $80.

Our devs try to invite me to these hour long Zoom product releases where they all sit around muttering to themselves. I always tell them to just hit me up in the Slack release thread when they are ready for my part. I don't need to be on a Zoom call to tell them "ok made the change."

You need to be willing to change jobs, more often than you think. Staying at your current employer paying you minimum wage with 50 cent increases once a year wont help you. I switch jobs 1-2 times a year and went from making $12-$30 in a couple years

I dont think you need to change jobs as often as I do, but if there is no clear path to making significant progress in your wages, then leave.
Harpie is dead on. It's better to get a different job every 2ish years and increase your pay by 15-20% than stay at the same job getting 2% raises every year. Plus the experiences gained from working different jobs is far superior to doing the same thing at the same job.

Had similar issues when trying to sell two items a couple years back.

Tried to sell some airpods. Starting bid was $50. Had a few people PM me trying to haggle like "I'll give you $15 for them right now." Eventually the auction ended at $70 but the winner backed out. Since when can you cancel your bid? Back in the day, eBay had a warning on the bidding page saying once you bid it was final.

Then tried to sell some headphones. After shipping the headphones to the winner, they told me the headphones didn't work and requested a return. I accepted the return and eBay emailed them a return label. They never shipped the item back to me and eBay auto canceled the return.

@CanuckCowboy the seman sake isn't as odd as Q is making it out to be. The sake in the bottle is clear but there's rice sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Shake it up a bit to mix it all around before serving. Gives it a slight milky consistency.

There's also the type where it isn't just sediment at the bottom but full on rice. That's where the whole rice pudding comment came from.

Oh yeah, no judgement here. Sometimes you just need to get to that level of drunk. Even though it's cheap, I'm sure the hot sake tasted just fine.

That's fair. I just try to stay away from things with a ton of sugar in them so I've tried a lot of less sugary wines. While I don't care for white wine, I know chardonnay is on the low sugar end.

You won't see me pay more than $20 max for a bottle. My go to casual drinking wine is Aldi's Winking Owl that goes for $3.25 a bottle. Lol

My wife and I like to get together with her cousin and husband to have cheap wine tastings at their house. You try to bring the most impressive wine that doesn't cost more than $15. It's a great time.

It's because when you start out in IT, you tend to be in positions that require you to be a jack of all trades. As you move up in your career, you'll specialize so your field of responsibilities narrow but your work affects more things.

Sounds like you work within the agile methodology which is what we do. We plan project work in two week chunks and have daily standup/status meetings that last no more than 30 minutes. Other than that, you have two weeks to be left alone to your work in addition to whatever break/fix situation pops up.

Though I agree with the statement, it is hard for a non IT person to understand all the responsibilities that comes with different areas of IT so they can make an informed decision. When I first started, I had no idea all the different jobs there were in IT as a whole. I had to get my hands dirty before I realized what I was and wasn't interested in.

Also TC, don't spend 10k on a bootcamp. That's ridiculous.
Instead look at job postings for cyber security positions. See what experience/education requirements they tend to list and go from there. If there's a cert that tends to be listed(I don't know much in regards to cyber security or what certs there are) then look up ways to study for that cert exam. People online will recommend books or IT training sites that you can subscribe on a monthly basis.

Shit dude, these look cool as hell! Why's the second one more expensive though? Cause of the button profile switch? I don't really see myself needing that tbh. The one from the first link looks cool, might get that one unless someone else recommends something cheaper.
The vibration, longer grips, and better shoulder buttons. Those low profile shoulder buttons will be an annoyance.

I pretend my Link is very shaky when aiming >_>. But the motion controls help a lot with the drifting joycon.

Ive done the Plateu, didnt head for Kokoriko village, instead Im looking around, beat a shrine and gonna do a combat shrine I found next.

Loving this game already.
I had to turn those damn motion controls off. I couldn't aim my bow for shit. They are still required for a couple shrines which is fine.

All I watch is Smackdown because I'm stingy, and even then not very often.

Sometimes I catch local shit on one of the old-UHF stations, but I'm rarely able to wander into it.
What local shit do you see? I'd be interested in it.
