This is me as well. I'm not vegan (I'm a flexitarian).

I started limiting meat when the pandemic took off in order to save money. I was saving so much money and noticed that my health improved. I haven't gone back to eating meat at every meal. I eat meat like maybe once a week now.

My wife was a vegetarian while we were dating. She's also an incredible cook so she'd come over my house on the weekends and cook a ton of vegetarian food. I'd cooked up some grilled chicken on the side to put on my plate. Sometimes I'd just get lazy and not worry about the chicken. Plus I didn't feel like it was really adding a lot to the dish other than the fact that it checked the meat requirement.

Is really isn't. Other night, my wife and I cooked cheese and spinach raviolis. Made this great sun dried tomato and pesto cream sauce to pour over them. Few days prior to that we made Carribean based curry tofu with a side of sauteed cabbage and carrots. Indian and thai foods lean heavily on the vegetarian side. Hell make a big pot of veggie chili/stew or potato soup. There's plenty of fantastic vegetarian meals to cook for dinner if you look past salad(personally I hate salad). We're not even vegetarians. We just don't have meat with every meal.

Challenge isn't a bad thing. It's how we maintain interest in our careers. Once you get over the hurdle of learning Scratch, the job will become easier.

Once you get in there and become adjusted it might not be as big of a challenge as you originally thought. That's how most IT or software dev jobs seem to be.

I'm actually in the process of playing it now. Lost an older save I had about 20 hours put into so had to restart. You rack up the hours just roaming around Hyrule exploring. I probably have a good 30 hours in my current save and haven't even messed with the divine beasts.

My wife's body is like that. I think her internal clock has three hands. Her sleeping hours are constantly changing. Sometimes she's asleep at 7pm-5am, sometimes 6am-5pm, etc. It works well enough for us. We'll have our separate time when the other is asleep. That's when I drink and game and when she smokes and watches terrible tv.

Same. Once I hit the slurring and stumbling phase then I've gone too far. There's a sweet spot prior to that where you're fully drunk but still in control of your body. I've blacked out maybe twice in my life? I often forget small details of the previous night but that's different.

Last time I got blackout was two years ago at our Halloween house party. My wife loves to make these secretly strong drinks and serve them to everyone. The one she made that night I called the elephant tranquilizer. It was this spiced apple cider with couple different kinds of rum and bourbon in it. Also had chopped up apples, pears, and other spices she added like additional cinnamon. I drank too much of it cause it tasted so good. My wife said after I blacked out, I cleaned up, took the costumes off our four dogs, put them in their kennels, then went to bed. lol

Kurt Cobain did this during interviews all the time. He'd get so tired of giving the same answer to the same questions he had been asked countless times so he made stuff up for laughs. The amount of lies he told depended on what tv/magazine was interviewing him. If he respected the mag, he would be more truthful with them.

Nah most hard candies do help with sore throats to some extent. The caramel sugar makes a protective coating on your throat that keeps it from being irritated.

So first time I tried charging my pro controller the light isn't coming on and its seemingly not charging. Is Nintendo like Apple and some cords wont work? I'm trying a type C phone charger.

Not helpful but I just bought a pro controller last week. I've only used the included cable so far. It might be that the phone charger isn't strong enough volt wise to charge it. Doesn't seem likely but that's a thought.

I still need to schedule my booster. I'm just dragging my ass cause I don't like leaving the house.

This. The way they are able to made the extreme juxtaposition in tone work between the main story and side stories is amazing. Also I'm not sure what Marvel humor BigBoss is referring to. The side stories are standard Japanese wacky humor.

I know Buffy was filmed in 16:9 but was intended to be cropped to 4:3 so in the 16:9 versions you can see boom mikes and crew and the edges of background.

The streaming versions of Buffy are all screwed up. The color tint in scenes are changed around, cropping issues chopping off the top and bottom, and the stuff you mentioned.

Well that's kind of the thing. We've lived together for 2 years now, we've pretty much already been married for a while, just without the official title lol. Ideally we would like to "settle in" but how long would that be for? We do want kids but I'm on the other side of 30 and fiancee is approaching her 30s. If we had a kid right now I'd be 50 and she'd be mid 40s when the kid turns 18. So while we're not going super tryhard about it just yet, at a certain point if we want kids we're not getting any younger and we just gotta go for it. Plus my sister just recently had a baby so I'd be lying if I said there wasn't some baby fever that sprung out of that lol

It's weird, teen parents get a lot of shit but now that I'm a little older I can't help but think "if I had kids when I was 18 they'd be in HS now". Fuck, my mom was 19 when she had me. I used to work with someone who had their kids young and those kids were almost independent at that point and she was in her mid 30s, and can't help but think "I'm just getting started with this kid stuff and she's just a little older than me and is almost done with them already"

Of course if I did have kids that young I wouldn't have been able to cut up a lot like I did in my 20s so there's always pros and cons.

No that makes complete sense. My wife just turned 29 and I'll be 34 later this year. Kids have been a big topic in the last 6 months with us cause we are so 50/50 over whether to have one or not. There's so many cons to having kids despite us knowing we'd be great parents and raise an awesome kid. We also don't want to regret not having one after it's too late. We're in that similar situation of "We don't want one at this moment but if we ever want one, it'll need to be now."

So, getting married March 26th. Fiancee's next scheduled BC shot is in April. We made the decision that she's not going to get it anymore (she brought it up first). Soooo guess we're going to try to make babies going forward. Not to the point where we track cycles or anything, like "trying trying" but essentially just not going to try to actively prevent it anymore and if it happens we're ready for it.
