Im pretty sure the 3DS was out by the time it released. Its pretty good but is obviously not in the same league as Okami. I still have my copy so I never felt the need to get another version. I wouldn't worry too much about finding the sequel. It's not great imo. Chibiterasu is adorable, but I didn't enjoy playing it and I didn't like the story either. --- I'm sorry, but 10,000 of ANYTHING on a PS2 would absolutely destroy your framerate. Heck not only did I buy a physical copy, I went ahead and got the Japanese copy of the game. I was convinced by someone else that the Japanese Switch version would have the original credits/song from Clover Studios that was removed from the Wii version. Don't know if that's true or not. I loved this game on Wii, and it was an absolute blast playing it from beginning to end. However even after over a decade I still can't go back to this game anymore, too many deal breakers, especially the slow unskippable dialogue. As long as there is new content throughout the game (new areas, powers, story, etc.) then a super long game is a positive. Last year I spent over 4 months on Tales of Berseria and I loved every minute of it. I like taking my time and spending weeks to months at a time on a game, chipping away an hour of gameplay at a time. I was still playing catch up with the ps3 generation up until the pandemic. Hell technically I'm still playing catch up with games as old as the ps2 gen. Not saying it's wrong to like shorter games though, only that saying the inverse is weird. I understand people like games that are "short and sweet" and wanting to replay a game, while at this point in my life I'm more of a "one and done" playthrough player where I just make it through the game and that's it for me, don't really have the energy for replaying.
