It was so welcoming that people were pretty lax with personal information on there. Turns out someone was leaking info to a known CE troll that liked to dox people(can't remember the dudes name). A couple people got doxxed because of it. Chill02(one of the admins of the board)turned incredibly paranoid about this and basically turned the whole situation into a witch hunt. I think he openly accused Aeriis of being the mole at one point which became a big deal. In the end, he removed everyone from the entire board and closed up his gfaqs account. It was a real "burn it all down" move. The mole ended up being a user called mipond who was also an admin of the board. Her story is a whole 'nother can of worms cause she had been passing herself off as a 22 year old girl with this wild back story when in reality she was some crazy 63 year old women. It's wild that the creator was able to predict back in '96 how much our online lives would intersect with our real lives nowadays.
