You'd think, but the rate at which they've advanced both their ballistics AND nuke technology in the last 5 years is extremely suspect. There's no way for them to have gotten this far this fast without outside assistance.

Why the hell does China even put up with them..? What possible benefit could NK be to China? Just as a thorn in the US's side?

Just a border between them and US allies.

it's true, china doesn't want to help north korea out if **** hits the fan.
long as US doesn't attack first.

But...why... What does the border have to do with anything

IF the US were to in the future go to war with China it would matter. Even before that, if you have a radio or spy device with a range of, say, 500 miles, NK prevents the US from deploying it in SK and reaching deep into Chinese territory. It's the same reason they don't like the THAAD being deployed.

Yes in the sense that Hitler's Nazi party got its starts literally fighting communists in the streets. They cut their teeth in combat in the fascist vs communist battles being waged prior to their party taking over. What we're seeing with Antifa and white supremacists fighting in the streets at protests is a fairly literal reenactment of what pre-Nazi Germany was like. The difference in this case is the nazis can't mobilize, but Antifa has cast an extremely wide net in their definition of Nazi and in doing so are running the risk of becoming the new authoritarian force in the country.

I don't think that's it. Businesses sell these places as retirement communities and they cater to that. They're designed for old people.

In any case catering for age groups is a specific kind of business. A babysitter probably isn't going to babysit a grown man. Her job is to take care of kids.

It's still nothing like a cake. These people are not changing their roles at all. From their side of the business it makes no difference who is buying their cakes.

I don't see the difference between "my business caters to a specific age group" and "my business caters to Christian ideals", but that's me. If they are a "Christian" bakery, and they own the bakery, they should be legally allowed to limit their labor to the subset of people they believe fall in line with their beliefs. I don't think you should give them your patronage, but that's their right.

Anyways, I appreciate you having this back and forth. I think it was productive and you have my thanks for responding in a reasonable manner, but I unfortunately have to run. If the topic isn't at 500 by the time I'm back at a PC I'll see if you had anything else to add.

No one made them be bakers. They can do other jobs.

It'd be like getting a job at a pig farm and complaining your religious beliefs don't let you handle pig. Get another job!

There are a LOT of jobs that don't involve baking cakes for gay weddings.

There's a difference between having a job and owning a business. A company can enforce any standard they want and you as an employee can agree with it or find another job. If you own a business, though, that's a totally different thing.

Apparently they're subject to forced labor in yours.

What does it mean to be "forced" to follow the law?

It means being tasked with labor you must perform but do not wish to at threat of punishment. There are lots of examples where you can choose not to do something, and extremely few (selective service, jury duty) where you are legally compelled to do something.

What this suggests is that there are exceptions when there is an issue of safety or some other legitimate concern. I disagree on the story part, because the different endings actually change the events of the past, and I really hate that. It was pretty good up until then, but as soon as I realized that what the MC actually did changed depending on the ending it totally ruined it.

That's like saying the UFO endings affected the main ends in the others.

The UFO ending is clearly a joke, but in all the other regular endings (and EVEN in the UFO ending) what happened doesn't change. Only what the MC does in the end. Changing it so that depending on the ending you either did or didn't kill that guy in prison ruins the story. It's lazy writing because they're not making the ending fit the actions. They're changing the actions to create a specific ending.

How is that any different than the In Water ending though? Either James killed his wife or just felt bad about thinking nurses were hot while in a hospital bed slowly dieing

I think you might be confusing the endings. In the "In Water" ending Mary explicitly forgives him for killing her. IIRC I can't think of a SH2 ending that actually changes what he did.
