So I wanna talk about Ben real quick. When I was reading yesterday there were two things that Ben did that really struck me the wrong way.

His miller claim. The way he reacted I understand it was like a joke but they way it was countered and he got all defensive about it really made me tilt my head in suspicion. Like I totally believe the thought process that he thought he saw PJ on his safelist and thought this is an easy claim. But then he tries to walk it back with my second concern of 'I will scan as town.' To me, this feels like scum accidentally claiming their godfather. I don't know Ben enough to know if he is that stupid or not.

Now, Death claiming PJ takes away most of that first half but I still really don't like that second half and I would like to see a claim from Ben.

The comedy option is pjb IS on the safelist and Ben and Death are both scum, and Death claimed that just to get the heat off of him....

...actually there might be something there. It's possible that Ben claimed like that intentionally and set it up so that if another miller claimed they could easily pass it off as a joke, but if not they could ride the claim out (as seen by half the players believing it and half realizing it was a joke). It could also explain Death's awkward reaction to the claim.

He did threaten to replace out in FFCC Mafia, as scum. He actually said he was replacing out 100% but never actually did.

He also claimed Town Cop in Fuck 2016 Mafia as Town Universal Backup, claimed a scan which everyone ignored (he turned out to be right though!)

I stated earlier in the day I was fine with you or Johnbob dying. That's why I saw him as a late lynch target and immediately voted him. The flip flopping and VI/IGCD was based completely on how people viewed Corrik's claim. I thought it was legitimate and I thought other would think that as well, I then come to find out that nobody gives Corrik's d1 claims any weight at all. If that's the case my town perspective argument against IGCD completely falls apart, so I went back to VI. I think you know all this but I just thought I'd give a concise summary of all the main points.

As for Kanz, it's all of Corrik. I read him neither way right now.

I get what you're saying with Johnbobb but it seems rash to vote someone who's close to the lead when you haven't even caught up yet >_> a lot of things could have changed

I feel like you're basing a lot of your play around Corrik's claim which is... the first time I've ever seen someone put so much stock in a Corrik claim. Usually it just gets ignored lol

Hm, still thinking scum but for different reasons. The points about disappearing were in bad taste and I apologize, I get real life stuff comes first. and I don't think that Kanz/lynch magnet thing matters anymore. I think it was more of a confirmation bias thing because I was looking for posts to confirm my suspicion.

But I haven't like your voting pattern. The late Johnbobb vote "because he's up there" felt scummy. The flip flopping on VI and IGCD was.... idk it felt forced like you were just trying to look like you were active. I also am concerned that your suspects are all flipped town, me, or people I read as Town. I think you're a good player so I'm a bit concerned that you aren't finding scum!

That quote that seems to bother you soooo much has an explanation and a fairly boring one at that: at the end of last game Kanz said he had a lynch magnet problem, and I was one of the people who jumped on the train and lynched town kanz as town. So I was actually referring to last game kinda.

But I'll tell you why I ignored the same thing in Jade, and I told you this back then; It's not my fault you disregarded it. Jade made the mistake because he was new, in my judgment. Then I switched to you because I felt you had been fixating on something that didn't really say anything about alignment (I don't remember what it was, could probably find it in topic 2 though, you argued it did affect alignment). People who argue minor things and shout it like a scumtell are often scum.

I actually know exactly what you were referencing but I thought it reads like you know he's town. But I think Kanz is probably scum which makes this whole thing irrelevant to your alignment. It's possible you are rusty enough as scum to say that to a scummate but I do respect your play more than that.

I did see what you said about Jade being new but I just thought it wasn't a good excuse

I wasn't fixating on it, I just wanted to pressure Ben a little to see where it went. I also mentioned that someone did the same thing in the previous game and admitted it was a scumslip. The context was different with the miller claim, so that's why I didn't push it so hard, but yeah.

Other than that, your other points are fair. It doesn't make me feel better that VI flipped town though (and I think you said scum vibes from Chris?). I read Lopen as town and obviously I'm town. I think you're a good player so I'm worried that your reads are not quite hitting the mark!

Didn't like his initial vote on me. Also thought he piggybacked on Death a little with it. He ignored Jaded doing the same thing he voted me for

He voted VI for weak reasons as well, then jumped to IGCD for saying he would shoot Corrik if given a day vig shot, then jumped back to VI after people jumped him for it. Backpedalling

Then he backed off VI and onto me while not giving any reason for it. Never seemed like he actually had a reason for voting VI except to look active.

He posted a lot early but not much substance. Calling out Chris for being too mellow after like two posts ad such. Became a lot less active once people started talking and he could take a lower profile. Disappeared right before the Corrik/Ulti argument (he posted like 3 minutes before it started). Of course, that could be a coincidence but combined with the rest of his game it's suspicious.

and just for you Shad, he said he liked Corrik for not riding his claim. That was the only reason he gave until hours later when he basically said "yeah I like Corrik for the same reason MZero does".

Basically everything memorable he has done has been scummy

Seriously, Death was all upset with my Lopen defense and Oddity even voted me for it. Then Oddity completely ignored Jaded doing the same thing and Death ignored VI defending Scare. Death at least admitted it but Oddity was like "well Jade is new and he doesn't set off my scum senses"

Then Kanz comes in and says the Leo wagon was suspicious and I was the worst one despite not actually being on it.

That's the problem, he's not inactive and yet still is under the radar. He posted a lot early but once the game took off and people started going at each other he kind of retreated into the shadows. It is pretty suspicious and I could get behind that lynch.

Chris quit in the playoffs after some stuff with Gravy fell apart and it left the admins scrambling to find a replacement, since this was right in the middle of a big bo3 with me. Nobody else quit in such high profile circumstances, except possibly JC (but it was still not in a Bo3)

VI, for like the third time, I've never had this role before and didn't know how to play it properly. But because everyone fucking hates me I get to get lynched as a town role that can't die at night. It's annoying that this happens every time I'm a town power role that isn't 100% confirmable.

In fairness I've never played with him, and he also said he didn't play for nine years between DT and CT (where he was Town I think)
