| LeonhartFour 08/21/17 5:08:49 PM #1 | Link for updates: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ozw5Qahu25talmRqPDI1kd-monOnekpnKeoVPToD45U/edit?usp=sharing Rules: - You personally (No bots/scripts/lending of accounts) can save 1 character per hour. - A character needs 1 vote to be saved. - 1 unique user needs to save a character for that character to be saved. - Ambiguous (i.e. "Cid" or "Cloud") or "If X, then Y" saves will not count. - Last character unsaved is eliminated. - No alts, no rallying, no post deletion/editing (unless correcting an update), no spoiler tags. - You may only trade saves for other saves within this contest. This means no buying/selling saves, no trading outside things for saves, no trades involving future contests. - If you want to update, make sure it's accurate. - Only LeonhartFour can start up new topics. - If a post of yours causes an accidental lawyering you will be banned for one round for the first offense, with an increase of one round for each subsequent offense. - You will have exactly one hour after the final save is made to discover a lawyering. If one is not found in that time, the result will stand, even if a lawyering exists. - Community Rule is in effect. I'll also be glad when September gets here because football season will be in full force and the Tony Kornheiser Show will come back from hiatus. I used to love summer as a kid because of no school and I loved baseball because the Braves were always good when I was growing up. Now summer is less fun because I don't get any breaks from work, all the good sports shows and podcasts go on hiatus for at least a couple weeks, and the Braves suck now, so baseball isn't fun to watch anymore. --- |

| LeonhartFour 08/21/17 11:03:35 AM #92 | Anyway, the Oil Ocean Act 2 boss is definitely a pain, but the easiest way I've found is to destroy the things that shoot at you first, but only get a couple of hits in when they first appear and when they start to submerge again so they aren't shooting at you. It's a bit tedious, but it works. Once those things are gone, the octopus can't do anything but pop out of the oil and let you hit it. You can also get in two or three hits at the very beginning if you're quick. Also if you're directly under the octopus mouth when it submerges, it'll drag you under, so be careful about that, too! --- |

I'm guessing this journal was written by Beluga's brother and the woman he talks about in his entries is probably Katia's grandmother. Katia herself still won't tell us anything about why she wants to find the Elysian Box, but that's probably a solid guess. Also, I'm not sure if the duke and the vampire are the same person here, but it doesn't seem like Beluga's brother is the current duke, even though it feels like he should be (unless he's dead, I guess). Finished with 32 lives from a single playthrough, which is pretty good, I think! Anyway, I think that's enough Sonic Mania for me for now. Not much more for me to do, but I'm sure I'll be back to play it again at some point. Really fun game. S3&K > Generations > Mania > 2 > Colors > 1 > Rush > CD > SA1 > SA2 > The rest > Sonic 2006 I always forget Rush. --- |

At least the timer resets all the way back to zero when you time out. also if you go left at the very beginning of Act 1 there's a water shield in that zone so that helps a ton --- |
