man, i get that this video focuses on the drummer but i don't like how the drums are mixed so loud. this is very good jazz fusion (another one of my favorite genres) and he's an excellent drummer, but the mix kind of annoys me. also, as far as fusion goes this isn't top tier for me - it's better than spastic ink (wikipedia calls them "instrumental rock" but whatever - they're fusion to me) but it's not quite planet x. i think i still give the #1 spot to paramore, with this being my second favorite song so far. extremely close call, though.

He doesn't come across as some kind of funny idiot, he just ends up being annoying in the way they don't want him to be. It's like the worst Wisseau impression I've ever seen too.

Seth Rogan was the funniest part of the trailer, honestly. I just don't see this being very good at all. All of the Wisseau jokes just seem too in your face rather than subtle nonsense like it probably should be.

yeah, agree with all of this. sestero himself does a much better wiseau impersonation than james franco.

as a the room fan this still intrigues me but i dunno.

yeah, it was weird how they gave DC so much vitriol when he's not that bad (especially in comparison with tons of other LP'ers they've bashed) - he's just... kinda boring? definitely seemed like they were just bothered (well, mainly slowbeef) that another SA guy was using slowbeef's concept and became popular with it. and i say this as a retsupurae fan.

i was 99% sure i was going to dislike bane's first song (because we seem to have polar opposite tastes in music) but... synthpop is one of my favorite genres and this is very good synthpop. (i like paramore in general, though - would've been fine with one of their old emo songs too.) this may very well turn out to be my favorite song this week! good job bane!

like i said, the problem is that vlado never acknowledges you when you refute his point and constantly changes the subject. an argument i have with vlado usually goes like this: vlado: "the sky is purple." me: "no, it's blue." vlado: "you're an anti-fact globalist!" me: "no i'm not." vlado: "all liberals are emotional while all conservatives are logical and rational!" me: "..." etc. yeah, if vlado would stay on one subject over a span of three posts i would just quote my old posts, but because of the way he argues i can't really do that.

in fairness, i'm only talking about my own posts in that topic. i'm not reading what inviso, jakyl, kevwaffles, etc. are saying to him. if they're just going in circles then yeah, that's stupid. but then you shouldn't lump me in with them or say that vlado being an idiot is "my fault."

i do agree with this. this is a big problem with game journalism - reviewers are more concerned with being topical and getting the review out as fast as possible than spending enough time with games to say something sensible about them. then they go "OMG THIS IS FRUSTRATINGLY DIFFICULT 2/10" when in reality they never even made it past level 1.

if gamergate would have made a point about this (rather than bullshit like "we should boycott sites for publishing game reviews we disagree with") i might have supported them!
