Generally, you're identified by whatever race people view you as. It may not even be accurate, but that's a big part of how race works since it's a social construct.

I think that for quite awhile the general public didn't see anyone that was noticeably mixed race so they would just lump them in with whatever they felt they looked like.

Hollywood has actually helped that a lot since a lot of attractive mixed race folks embody the most aesthetic pleasing parts of their entire background. It gives them a broader appeal.

Ripley, Sarah Connor and Adrianne Balboa are my favorite examples of strong female characters in movies. All of them are both strong and feminine in their own ways...well Adraianne not so much in the first film, but w/e.

The thing is, most current superhero films are are just popcorn flicks. The characters are often meant to just look cool and sometimes be some eye candy. This applies to both males and females. Chris Evans is objectified just as much as WW.

Anyway, I don't think that we should analyze movies like Iron Man or WW the same way that we do movies like Rocky and Terminator. They have a different intent of what they're trying to do from the start.

I work for a school photography company. A lot of our sessions were cancelled that day because schools actually closed for the eclipse.

We only got partial coverage here and you couldn't really see it without the special glasses. I can't imagine anyone attempting to stare at it it for more than half s second.

Also, they cancelled school last minute...an eclipse isn't exactly a surprise event like a snow storm.

On my first playthrough I thought it was a decent indie Earthbound type of game. I'm on my second playthrough right now and it's making me enjoy the game a lot more after making different decisions.

Actually yes I do. Blockbuster many years ago, Hastings many years ago before they felt like a novelty store, a few local places whose names I've forgot.

It wasn't some amazing experience. But I grew up poor. Renting games for the sega genesis and ps1 were how I experienced gaming earlier on. 20+ years ago wandering down the isles and carefully picking out whatever game I wanted to try next. Reading the back cover a few times. Carrying around multiple boxes till I decided which one I wanted. It's a feeling I miss now a days.

I still remember renting an actual snes console for a weekend. A bizarre notion now a days with emulation available on pcs, current gen console, handhelds, phones, probably a fridge. But back then it was a cool thing for me to do.

I actually rented a Virtual Boy when I was a kid. It was actually a fun experience for a weekend before I got sick of sticking my head into that monstrosity.

The last section is actually pretty good despite the fact that large sections of the plot are missing. It actually benefits from being more linear.

The entire mid game is kind of the same level of quality though. So if you don't like it now, then you've got a lot of the same to slog through. The last few chapters are all over the place quality wise though.
