The Squad should be used for clandestine missions the government doesn't want to directly touch. Like taking out a terrorist cell in a country we don't have an official or authorized presence in. Instead they fought a powerful magic user that any superhero or government agency would be expected to deal with.

The reasons Superheroes didn't deal with it is because Waller's fuck up caused it to happen and she was trying to cover it up. If someone else showed up to deal with it, it would become public that Waller fucked up. Waller ended up killing off her low level allies because she didn't want to take a chance that they might leak what she did. She's not going to be able to just casually execute someone like Wonder Woman.

Even if they don't know the guy is dead, even if they don't know anything on the planet is dangerous, it's still a guy folded up like a fucking suitcase. You don't open the door for that.

Utter garbage. If the only way you can think of to get a monster inside a spaceship is for the entire cast to have a simultaneous brain attack like they just finished a lead paint eating contest, your movie sucks and you suck at writing.

Aside from the ridiculousness of that fallen ship scene I rather enjoyed it. I've seen some people say it kinda sucked but it didn't seem bad at all to me.

Retro isn't making it, Nintendo proper is as far as we know. What good FP games have they ever made? That's right, none. Adjust your expectations and don't get distracted by a logo people. The real Metroid is on 3DS.

A new team is working on it. We don't know what it is, but Nintendo seems confident enough to put the project into new hands instead of an established team. It happened with Breath of the Wild and most people absolutely love that game.
Also, if you're gonna play that card, the Metroid 2 Remake is being made by Mercury Steam and they don't exactly have a good track record. Yet I still have faith in both of these titles.

I'd actually like an HD remaster version. Updated textures, effects, and maybe upgraded models too. I would shamelessly buy them for a third time if that were the case.

ALBW is actually more non linear than BotW from a core gameplay perspective.

You'll have to clarify, because ALBW still has a couple restrictions on which dungeons you can do, and you have to eventually clear all dungeons before you can reach the final boss. Meanwhile in BotW, after the Great Plateau you're absolutely free to do whatever you want.

Tell me something Breath of the Wild did for the Zelda franchise (outside of the story) that could be considered lasting.

Non-linear and ability to go anywhere with no restrictions is something I can see future Zelda games having. It'll seem like a downgrade to me if they revert to linear Zelda with structured area design outside of dungeons again.

100% dude. I'm hyped as shit for the remake but there's no way it'll be better than AMSR or whatever the hell its called. Instead of it being better, I'm hoping this will be new and innovative in good ways.

That's what I'm hoping for. It's introducing new mechanics to evolve the 2D Metroid formula further (free aim and melee counters) so it's already unique in that aspect. AM2R did as well but it was moreso small movement abilities that made traversing a little more fluid and easier. This official remake also actually explains why the earthquakes happen after a certain number of Metroids are killed and will probably have little bits of Chozo history thrown here and there.

Yeah. At the very least, most Metroid fans have probably already played AM2R, so we can get the experience of both games. Besides I'm sure the creator of AM2R has a Patreon or PayPal, so you could donate to him if you feel like he deserves it after all the hard work he's put into it.
