Tbh seems to me like the performance issues are an RE Engine thing. Could be wrong but this is the only open world game built on it, right? And DD isn't really known to be a polished game. I'm still on the fence whether I should get it now or on sale. It looks like a good game despite the quirks. I get the complaints about the microtransactions but that's something I'd never engage with anyway.

If you are unsure if you'd like it, you could always buy Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen, it's graphics are dated but it still plays great.

The item to change your appearance is available in game as well, you don't need to buy the microtransaction one.

Iirc the original ps3 version also got microtransactions when dark arisen came out. So this isn't surprising.
Edit: nevermind, microtransactions for rift crystals, gold, and discipline points were in the base game. Dark Arisen just introduced more stuff to buy while making some of the previously sold stuff free (additional quests and the like were handled as microtransactions).

surprisingly, if you could only eat 1 type of food, the potato is the healthiest because it has tons of vitamin c as well as starches and other stuff. there are cases of people eating basically only french fries and they don't have problems (except brain problems).

potatoes and lentils would probably take care of most things, but eating a variety of vegetables is gonna be better I think.

Supposedly people can live indefinitely eating nothing but potatoes and szlted butter.

vitamins don't work, you have to get vitamins from food. otherwise people could take vitamins and drink water and eat bread and live and they absolutely cannot.

There have in fact been people that have gone on long term fasts where they got all their nutrients from vitamins and supplements but otherwise consumed nothing but water, they obviously had extensive medical support during the period.

You'd need to add vitamins and other supplements to make sure you don't die from malnutrition.

Alright, extreme unlocked. Man did it suck, managed to do the first two missions with randoms but ended up having to solo the third (ICBM) thank god for the arc thrower, tesla coil, gatling sentry, and orbital laser I managed to do it.

At least it was an accident, had a game earlier where a guy intentionally killed all the rest of us as the ship was landing, grab all the samples, and extract by himself. Dude must have thought you only got samples if you personally were carrying them or something.

Probably the best mod is the one that increases the number of assignable buttons for spells.

They don't sound as good as other types but they are great if you need to maintain awareness around you because you can still hear perfectly fine with your own ears as opposed to awareness modes and such which can distort and/or delay sounds.

Not really because a lot of them are centrists or center right as opposed to the left leaning I'd prefer.

I'm not really feeling the gameplay, everything is kind of clunky. Hopefully the story will be more interesting. Also, yea, they need to turn down the frequency of the random dialog.

I'd personally wait for it to go lower. I bought it during the chirstmas sale. The school related stuff was pretty fun but the main quest and everything else was a slog. Though I'm not a harry potter fan to begin with.

I'm level 16, but I feel like the Antinmatetial rifle kinda sucks against the armored bugs. Any recommendation for load out changes I should make?

If you don't mind giving up the backpack slot, the recoilless rifle can headshot chargers in one shot. While you'd still need to go for the squishier areas, the autocannon is also pretty good for clearing heavies. Once you hit 20 I'd suggest switching to the ems mortar. Not lethal, but the stun is really useful for giving you breathing room and, well, it's not lethal so you don't need to worry about it killing your team/you if you start to get overrun while it's still active.

I get their usefulness but at the same time, fuck guard dogs. I've been team killed by these little bastards more then anything else because they will suddenly rotate 180 degrees while continuously firing, slicing everyone in that arc in half.
