Yeah I can't use anything else. I'm working my way to the Slugger as I hear it's just as good if not slightly better, but that's still going to take a bit of time.

I really like the Slugger because it can penetrate medium armor, which for some reason the game doesn't tell you. You can also use it to shoot open those POI shipping crates without having to use a grenade. That's more of a minor thing, but it feels nice.

I tried it out and it's just too slow honestly.

I've heard of people seeing them at 3, but the earliest I've personally seen one was 4.

Ngl I haven't played since before the patch where they nerfed the railgun. I haven't been doing my part I'll try and jump on tonight and see what's going on

From what I've read it's still people's main for bugs, just like most still use Breaker after nerf.

Ok, I never thought about it because they previously just unlocked from me doing quick play but, how do I unlock harder difficulties? I've been playing hard for a couple days now but extreme has yet to unlock.

You need to complete every mission in an operation. All 3 need to be completed at the higher difficulties

You have to finish an entire operation. So to unlock Extreme, you'd have to do all three missions of an operation on Hard.

Alright, extreme unlocked. Man did it suck, managed to do the first two missions with randoms but ended up having to solo the third (ICBM) thank god for the arc thrower, tesla coil, gatling sentry, and orbital laser I managed to do it.

Alright all the bugs are starting to get tedious lol. The restart reset load out bug. And just now was in a very good random diff7 group. I drown and it "kills" me but it says I have about 20% health left. I'm literally spectating my teammates but they can't reinforce me because I'm "alive". So I leave so I wouldn't put them permanently one man down.

Oh. And the getting stuck in the freezer space when you spawn into another person's spaceship that's pretty much been there since launch lol

I haven't experienced loadout reset, but the water bug fucking sucks and I'm surprised it hasn't been patched. There needs to be a suicide option.

Whenever you want. There is really no rush. I'm just grinding out 2/3's with randoms to try and teach.

Just try to go up little by little, depending on your comfort and confidence. Don't worry about pissing others off. Dying is a huge part of the game and there are so many RNG factors. I could roll with a buncha 20+s that die a lot because they don't know when to run/disengage from a very compromised position and I've rolled with a lot of lvl 10-15s that were very good in handling their own and knowing how to use silent teamwork. Each game varies and I think that's part of the charm of the game.

Yeah, don't be afraid to step up the difficulty. Everyone dies in this game

The very first game I played, my friends threw me into a difficulty 5 mission on Malevelon Creek. You could say I got tossed into the deep end, but I think that's understating it a bit.

Not entirely true, for instance heavy armor with explosive resistance is almost a must for higher level bot missions. It's also really difficult to solo or split off until some of the better stratagems come available in the level 10-15 range.

Armor was broken for most of my playtime so I've only used the light stealth armor. Does that set make a big difference against rockets now?

At the start you get about 1 level up per mission if you're doing all the side objectives so you should be fine to unlock anything you need as you progress naturally. If you have friends skipping you from tier 2 to tier 7 you're going to be in a rough spot but the basic machine gun, EAT, and airstrike loadout is all you need to do your part in a group. Let the high level nerds run off solo and die trying to orbital laser a heavy base and just stick with a duo or trio and focus on the main objectives.

Im not saying its easy to rush straight to helldive difficulty but theres no reason to be afraid of moving up a tier if your main concern is not having the gear required for it. Most people should be fine to push up to tier 6 or 7, especially if you're playing in 4 man lobbies.

So there's a new patch rolling out and funnily enough, they are aware of the same drowning alive issue I had last night. Apparently it happens when you have the vitality booster equipped since it gives you a life boost that apparently persists through drowning lol. I guess I just have to avoid drowning until they get it fixed

Crashes are REALLY bad after the update. Crashed out twice before even finding a mission. Then almost finished a good diff7 and I fucking crash at extraction. Ughhhh

I didn't see a single spewer in the 10+ missions I ran this morning. Servers are basically down since progress on planets is going down with 150k+ playing lol

None of us had arc weapons. Just an ass load of EATs Orbitals and Eagles lol. Oh and an auto cannon.

The saddest part was, it crashed while I was embracing dude as his auto cannon reloader for the first time ever

i found 100 super credits on a mission then it crashed :(

Today was not a fun day to dive. Did a diff5 mission hoping to carry a buncha sub 10s. Got my ass ate by bugs. Teammates wouldn't back me up and I swear I'd always be moving slow as molasses. Made me realize the importance of laserdawg on lower level bug missions. And it didn't help that I went all in on heavy killer strats when I didn't really need to at that difficulty level lol

A well placed EAT to the face kills a Charger, and pretty sure same with Recoilless. I prefer to travel with Autocannon and EAT and plop down EATs whenever I can for all to use.

Recoilless needs a backpack right? Dunno if I have the balls to go without the shield

btw I'm on Steam, open to playing with anyone from any platform but I guess if you want to add someone on PS5 you need to generate a friend code first.

Yeah EATs are pretty great now against heavies. Short cool down so you can just litter the map with them and they don't use a backpack slot

Evidently some of the crashing is due to a small 1kb file that is either missing or got corrupted and if you verify your install it'll get fixed.

Did an operation on Challenging (thought I was moving up to hard but I guess not), I really need to watch some videos or something to see how people solo this shit because I was getting wrecked even with a full group by armored enemies.

I'm on the super sample grind now for mine. Gonna be a hot minute before it's done but I'm at least confident in how to be effective.

Good news is I seem to be really good at spotting the super sample rock.

When I get home I'll send out my friend code. Wouldn't mind having a bit more stable teams and communication. I don't mind playing at lower difficulties, and I'm not so good that I can carry teams so please don't expect me to lol

So essentially this game is pretty much unplayable this weekend. They could probably quick fix the PC version, but thanks to Sony we must wait. Fucking great.
