Just got the final ship module unlocked so I'm 18/18 now. Just need to grind out war bonds for the last gun and booster until I guess I start running random loadouts.

People grind 1/4/7 for samples/exploration and 3/6/9 for medals by doing the objective and then beeline to extraction.

I've been kinda shy about playing the harder difficulties because I don't want to fuck up people's games but I've been holding my own with the 500 kg bomb/Orbital Railcannon/Orbital Laser/Portable Railcannon loadout... it's fun as hell when shit gets desperate, I ended up getting like 15 super rare samples

Against bots, I generally run Airstrike, Orbital Laser, Autocannon, and EMS Mortar. Against bugs, I go with Gas Strike, Orbital Laser, Guard Dog Rover, and EAT.

I've found that I'm generally not that big a fan of the 500kg. If its blast radius wasn't so comically small, I'd probably like it more.

Throw it on a bug breach. But I've heard it's bugged in a team where it doesn't do damage. I've tried it solo and it works like a charm.

Fuck some these personal orders! The one I got (idk if everyone gets the same one) was to kill two bile titans. None of my ops had a bile titan missions, and trying to join a lobby for one was almost impossible. Side note, I'm not finding ayone in L5. And my loadout keeps getting reset every time I log in

Difficulty 4 has assassination missions for Bile Titans. You might find one there.

Yeah that's an annoying bug that I keep running into. Or sometimes I'll change my load out/gear, join a game and have it reverted to before.

Also getting the bile titan mission not counting. I've killed 4 and for some reason only 1 counted towards it. Annoying.

No, it should count as long as anyone on the team kills it. Neither of the ones I filled the order with were killed directly by me.

The game honestly got a lot harder for me after the shield and railgun nerf. I always do difficulty 7 and it's kinda frustrating now. Before I was confident I could do a mission and never die, now I die a lot.

How are you guys handling chargers? I've been using flame thrower but it is not reliable at all. Just seems like there's no good solution to them.

EAT to the head. Requires a direct hit to kill, but even if you miss you generally hit one of the legs instead, and then you can just shoot the leg.

After the nerf to head health last week, EAT or recoilless to the head will one-shot, like #170 said. Gotta be kinda precise, but it's an easy kill now. They feel like way less of a problem after that nerf.

I tend to bring orbital railcannon a good bit, which also is an instant problem solver for the occasional charger. Orbital laser can kill them too but it feels like a waste to use it on them. Otherwise I'd toro dive them and shoot the butt with autocannon, but that assumes I won't get swarmed trying.

I've also heard people say stun grenade works on them which makes general stratagems more reliable like 500kg. I don't have stun grenades yet, so can't confirm that.

If you don't mind giving up the backpack slot, the recoilless rifle can headshot chargers in one shot. While you'd still need to go for the squishier areas, the autocannon is also pretty good for clearing heavies. Once you hit 20 I'd suggest switching to the ems mortar. Not lethal, but the stun is really useful for giving you breathing room and, well, it's not lethal so you don't need to worry about it killing your team/you if you start to get overrun while it's still active.

My general right now is Orbital Laser, Autocannon, Autocannon Sentry/EMP sentry depending on mood, and EATs. Solo I'll switch the sentry for 500kg or another big boom boom for quick nest removal.

I'm still running Sickle/Breaker, Dagger/Redeemer, Stuns, EAT IT, Supply Backpack, 500KG, Precision Strike and able to solo 7s with no issue.

I've stopped using the Sickle against bugs because it just doesn't have the stopping power that the Breaker or the Slugger do. Brood commanders just walk through it, and I'd be scared to even try using it against stalkers.

It has value as crowd control versus the smaller bugs, but that's what I have Steve for.

Steve? lol I like the Sickle, not reloading is a great perk imo. And it doesn't hurt(for now) that I'm sticking to the lower tier difficulties. I don't have the medals and stratagems for higher stuff ( ._.)

Yeah once I started using the Breaker I've never gone back to anything else. My deaths decreased by a lot.

At least it was an accident, had a game earlier where a guy intentionally killed all the rest of us as the ship was landing, grab all the samples, and extract by himself. Dude must have thought you only got samples if you personally were carrying them or something.
