Delta and SouthWest also have Boeing planes. That was just an example of an order being place in 2022 and showing how the delivery of that takes many years.

It's so weird, I never used to hear any issues with Boeing but now that I work for a contractor company for Boeing, all the problems are getting aired out in the past year.

Not really that weird just means the faulty planes are starting to be flown.
For example this article from 2022 shows United ordered 100 planes that won't all get delivered until 2032.

it isn't even about retaining them but more a cost analysis

if they lose the lawsuit how much will it cost? would it ruin the company? now what if they hire a hitman and some people get caught? seems they were bad enough in this case they might have actually done it
