I did as well but there were certainly a couple of points (Mostly in the 5th and 7th layers, *especially* AI) where I feel like Steiner lied about it not having timewalls.

like, maybe I'm dumb, but I definitely needed to leave it running overnight or while I was at work a couple times to progress and couldn't find anything to tweak to make it fast.

I also tried DistInc but bounced off it for w/e reason.

It has been a while, but my recollection is Make sure you've got all of your IDs, and make sure you've done all of the first four Infinity Challenges. If you already have, then I'm not sure there's much you *can* do. There are just timewalls throughout.

Rocket League (> Geoguesser, since it was brought up) > Smash > Other fighters >= RTS >>> League of Legends > Other Mobas >= Shooters

I think this is the "I don't know these games" list, so basically just "ease of understanding without knowledge" crossed with innate hype. League beats other Mobas for having solid visual clarity even if you don't know the game. I tried getting into watching Dota a few times and the lack of knowledge was not the reason I couldn't follow the game. They're all very low tier for this though. Shooters, I also had a lot of trouble trying to follow and understand, though that could just be the specific ones I tries (OW,CSGO) specifically being specifically awful zero-knowledge watches

Smash beats other fighters for sheer breadth of iconic characters.

My experience is that pretty much anybody who goes out of their way to call themselves a "leftist" or "liberal" in conversation, especially unprompted, are at best bad faith arguing.

Coincidentally, I pretty much always see it as something like "I'm a liberal/leftist, but..."

My issues with the gameplay are a bit more than minor but I still very much agree with this. Everything that's not gameplay is fucking incredible, especially taken as an overall package.

Ever17 gets mentioned because it's the same writer (Albeit much older than Zero escape). Both it and AI are good choices (Especially since you already played AI 1)

Danganronpa is the usual recommendation here because the writer is friends with Uchikoshi and it still generally fills the "murder mystery" sort of vibe, but it's quite different and way more anime trope-y. I would say to give it a shot if you really want more to scratch the same sort of itch ZE does, but you don't need to rush at it if you're already not feeling it.

I will, a full decade later, decide to recommend Umineko a bit. It's got hella flaws, but if you get into it it's pretty fun. It's a straight sound/visual novel though, with no direct gameplay or choices.

Ace Attorney is also beloved by Board 8 as a whole for very good reasons, too, so you won't really go wrong by playing more of it.

It was very good the first time. It wasn't flawless by any means (a lot of wasted potential with the plot, specifically), and it had performance issues on the Switch, but it was still very fun to play and holds up against the rest of the franchise.

My view on ZTD overall is still that it's "very entertaining", but it has a few things (Mostly around the ending) that drag it down from "good". I thought Delta was so over the top stupid that he was hilarious, especially with his (English) voice, for example. And given the memes, I'm clearly not alone in this.

Junpei and Akane are another example of this that you guys have kinda but not really touched on. They're not particularly well written, and Punished Junpei doesn't really make that much sense in the context of the rest of the series. But I was still entertained by that dynamic, even while acknowledging it wasn't good, or good for the plot.

I know people praise D team writing, but I generally like Q team writing. It just kinda sucks that the team is so unlikable, but I liked the reveal and the overall weirdness surrounding Q team. Some foreshadowing regarding this:

1) There's various dialogue for Q team scene that makes way more sense knowing that the leader is an old, blind/deaf, wheelchair-bound man named Q, such as Eric referring to someone on the team as "old man", Sean asking if a certain someone on the team could speak, various Q members saying "you all" rather than "the both of you", and all the suspicion Eric has towards Sean and his concerns about the Q team's leader.
2) The status screen tracks Q's status, not Sean. This is most clear in the Diana/Sigma ending where Q is alive (exactly when the children are birthed) but Sean is dead.
3) Decontamination scene shows 3 corpses and scenes where Sean + Q die often have two thumps rather than just one.
4) Similarly to how Nonary game suggests 9 participants, this is the Decision game. Deci also means "ten." There's also the X-passes, with X being 10.
5) There are various scenes suggesting shadows of 4 people or someone beyond Mira/Sean/Eric: https://imgur.com/a/44wYR
6) The X-passes for Q clearly do not relate to Sean, like how all the other X-passes refer to their specific character.
7) Zero Time Dilemma = Me? I'm Zero. I'm Delta.
8) When inputting an answer for who killed Mira and during the showdown between Sean/Mira/Eric, putting in "Q" and putting in "me/myself" gives radically different answers.

Some of these (And significantly more of the things in the reddit thread you pulled them from) are blatantly coincidental bullshit that somebody tried to call a "clue" ex post facto

Some of them are legitimately good and interesting clues to the whole thing about Delta being there all along.

The only thing really jarring about the reveal scene itself is Eric calling Sean by name after not having done so at literally any other point prior. Which, yes, it would've ruined the reveal if he did. But it also makes no sense for him to start doing so there in particular which makes it jarring.

I think it will be mostly a expansion on some of the things PS5 have done (Dualsense has felt barely implemented) but I also expect just a straight up death of physical games (maybe a disc drive thats optional/more expensive) and maybe even less of a focus on open world games (Great news for the haters on this board of the genre)

I don't even know why I opened this topic but as one of those haters

B) Still almost certainly won't get me to pick up a PS5 or hypothetical PS6 over upgrading my PC and playing whatever there.
