They might be tolerable when we were freshman in high school in 2002 or what not. Somehow the worst post in the topic, which is pretty f***ing impressive. Congrats. nah. Aside from those, marvel movies have sucked. Its all the same cheesy bull **** with a lot of money invested in making the movies have godly special effects. Which is a shame because when i was a kid, there was about a whole year where i spent my $5 allowance each week on 2 packs of marvel cards (1992 set was the best imo) or a comic book. assuming you play each game normally and don't over level/grind like crazy, FFT is the hardest one. The story battles can be quite difficult if you don't grind in the game at least a few times.

breaking both my knees and right ankle jumping off a cliff at a nearby lake (and not landing in the water right away).

agreed that "the magic" isnt quite there with diablo 3, but theres a few reasons outside of the games control why
1) its the beta. I'll admit the most fun i had with WoW was during the beta, but that was a genre that was completely new to blizzard. It was unique and thats why "magic" was there with the beta. Diablo's gameplay at its core wasn't changed a ton from 1 to 2 either. 2) its not 2000 anymore. Online games were still relatively new in 2000. The 3D era was just kicking off, etc Diablo 3 will be decent, but i dont see myself playing it for 3 years as my "main game" like i did with diablo 2/LoD. They've gone in detail into why they moved it to armor and gems. There is no evidence that they are trying just to leech money from people - there are several optional ways to get such gear. Until you see them actually trying to force you to use the auction house and exploiting the process, you have no complaints there. its a legit complaint....its stating a potential problem. Last time i checked, successful businesses, military missions, professional athletes, etc around the world try to account for any potential problems before enacting a plan. -- Pride. Passion. If this weren't a potential abuse of an optional feature in a game made for fun then you'd have a real complaint. By all means I understand what you're saying and it's not a bad point - except that the situation you're putting it in is terrible, and in this case, yes, we can ignore it until it happens because if it DOES happen we'll still be absolutely fine - it's not going to hurt us.
then i think were just gonna have to agree to disagree. If this RMAH thing really takes off, and blizzard notices how they could be making more money off of item "X", then they are gonna balance the drop rates on all the key items based on auction house sales, or what they think they could be making off certain items. It just screams conflict of interest the whole way through. I played diablo 2 from 2000 to 2003 very regularly, and was sucked back in numerous times through out the later years. It was the wild west in video game form. I have no problem with RMAHs in video games. I do have a problem with blizzard saying "the only place you can buy is through us", everything else will get your account banned. Youre right, it hasnt happened yet. But i mean there are many potential flaws with the RMAH thing. I will give blizzard credit though, they learned VERY quickly from their past games and things like iccup in SC, diablo 2 marketplaces, and later with the WoW glider fiasco. -- Pride. Passion. There is quite literally nothing wrong with the RMAH. As has been gone over many, many times. so showing a potential flaw in the system is code for "its not a real complaint because it hasnt happened yet"? Does that apply in all debate situations? after playing it, im a tad more excited, but still im not super interested in diablo 3 for the business practices of blizzard for a while now.
My real question deals with the auction house real life money thing. The reason why im completely against it is that in theory, doesnt blizzard control the drop rates on these items? So in other words, they could control the entire market in the auction house by increasing or decreasing drop rates on items? i dont think anyone is hating on the gameplay, i think they are hating on blizzard's business practices of things like "you must be online to play", "no lan" and stuff like that.

i started a topic once about ranking the MGS games based on elements of the game, and my beliefs were
Story: 1 > 2 > 3 > 4 Characters: 1 > 2 = 3 > 4 Gameplay: 2 > 4 > 3 = 1 Theme/Moral: 1 > 2 > 4 > 3 Ending: 3 > 2 > 1 > 4 Boss Fights: 4 > 3 > 1 > 2 The only thing 2 is bad (and by bad i mean bad for the series, all 4 of the mgs games are top 50 or so games ever) in is boss fights. The harrier was decent, the rays fight was good. The rest? Meh. Maybe fatman was decent i suppose. 4 only had 1 bad boss fight (raging raven) and 1 average fight (crying wolf). The rest were all very well designed imo. But the main reason why I put 1 and 2 ahead of 3 and 4 is the theme/moral. The nature vs nurture debate in mgs1 was very original for a storyline in gaming back then, and mgs2's moral of how much do our "memes" define us was great too. I really feel if you can put aside some of the over the top stuff at the end, MGS2's theme is a huge conversation starter. Oh, and MGS2's tanker portion is the best 2ish hours of the whole series.
