Picked up a green that looks like its worth about 20 bucks so I'm hoping that it sells.

Unfortunately I didn't roll higher Dex on it or it would have been super amazing status, but it was a solid roll and so I'm still happy with it.

Welp Just finished another pony run. I am the exhausted now but I actually picked up a legit piece of gear. I undercut comparable items and put it on the RMAH for $17 dollars. Going to be pretty stoked if it sells.

it isn't really "blood bending" so much as a really powerful form of water bending. Taking away Tarrlok's bending would just make him a water bender who is strong enough IN his water bending ability to bend the water in someone's blood.

I don't see trading items to be particularly useful though at end game.

While leveling it was and should be common for us to pick up something that might be good on someone else in the party and offer it to them. But at this point the chance of me picking up some kind of monk-gear and to look at it and say "this might actually be an upgrade for Chris or Shoe" is such a tiny chance. If I get strong monk gear I might as well sell it for as much as its worth on the AH and use the cash to buy strong wizard gear.

Or you could just buy a strong MF set and join at the end of pony runs like ermine does ^_^. He isn't adequately geared for inferno yet, but he's already picked up upgrades to himself by doing pony runs with us. Also My DPS is at just about 50k right now (with familiar and force weapon active). I think my next big purchase is going to involve saving up tons of moneys and making a purchase on a massively powerful 1H weapon.

My current weapon has 835.2 DPS, It has 159 Intel, and it also has a socket which is currently slotted for 60% crit damage. (I could increase that to 70% by making a star but I haven't combined my gems yet)

I have a 11% crit rate and so the crit damage actually increases my DPS by more than a red gem would. Even using max level gems and a base crit rate of 5% it seems like you get a bigger percentage boost to your DPS (which is multiplicative) by using the green gems. And it only makes more and more sense the more crit rate you have. I honestly don't see any reason to run red gems in weapons anymore unless there is something I'm missing.


Either way I'm probably shopping for something with at least 1k damage, some amount of intel and a slot. I'll start keeping my eyes open once I'm at 5M again, but it might take a lot more than that to get something perfect for me.

And actually my weapon was 1.5M when I bought it and seems to be worth at least 2 to 2.5M right now. I wouldn't say its appreciated though, it's more likely that gold has devalued. Either way my gear seems pretty solid aside from the weapon so I'll keep working towards that. Wont be upgrading any armor pieces for now unless I happen to stumble across and upgrade while running ponies.

HGR is in act 4

HGR does not auction house.

Pretty sure that means he cleared act 3 which I'm still impressed with btw. It is possible to force your way through without either Auction House if that's what you want. But that's not for me, I prefer to use the gold auction house.
I've spent millions of gold on my gear, but I've also USED the gold auction house to MAKE millions of gold.

You find something good but it's not for your class? Sell it on the auction house! I still think the most I've picked up from a single piece is around 750,000 (which pales in comparison to some of the things that red and chris have sold) but that 750k goes a LONG way towards buying expensive gear for myself. I didn't have to spend any USD to buy things for gold either.

And inferno act 1 is SO much easier than the rest of inferno. Which means if you are just farming act 1 over and over (which I don't recommend right now, not until they adjust drop rates) but even if that's all you are capable of doing you will get SOME 60 gear. And even if its BAD 60 gear you can salvage it instead of selling it to the NPC. Because guess what? The essences from 60 gear are selling on the AH for 2,000+ gold each right now. I expect that number to gradually go down, but it will still normalize well over 1000 which is a BIG increase on the 200 you would have got from the vendor.

There are plenty of ways to use the AH to MAKE gold and they do not take much time at all.



And thanks to actually having boss gear I was able to do a run of Infernal Ponies with Shoe and Ermine.

Just from the Tomes of Secrets that were dropped and the Essences and Tears from the bad 60 gear that I salvaged I was able to list them (and they sold FAST like they usually do) and made 60k. But I also picked up 5 pieces of gear that might actually be worth something. So I undercut comparable gear and listed them. If all 5 pieces sell (likely I think since I undercut by enough) that'll be another 400k. I didn't even get a lot of rares that run (bad RNG), but it was still worth something because I sell stuff on the AH.


I have 7 things listed on the RMAH as well. I had 8 but I made 1 dollar on something that sold >_<''. Unfortunately for me I haven't rolled any "truly great" gear that is properly RMAH-able, but if something looks "better than just decent" I'll try and RMAH it first. And if it doesn't seem to be worth money I'll just Gold AH it instead.



But if anyone wants me to open the door to the Pony level for them on any level then give me a shout in game. if i'm not in the middle of something I'd be happen to open it for anyone who doesn't have their own Staff of Herding yet. Or run it with me on Infernal if you are geared for it. But if you are going to run it with me I would ask that you have a good set of magic find gear to throw on when it's time to loot the place. My own set has 225% for example which puts me at 300% once the group has 5 stacks of valor. Your set doesn't have to be quite so high but do try to at least have MF on every slot (sans weapon).

(You can pick up MF-only gear pretty cheaply on the auction house >_> )


Point is yeah you could drop a few hundred dollars and have amazing gear, but it's not like there aren't options.

I guess I can understand that. But I just don't share the opinion that the characterizations in chaper black were pulled off very well. For every once villain that seemed genuine there was a second that just felt so unimportant. I did like Sniper so I'll give you that, but some of them just fell flat to me.

Another thing is the 3 "good guys" they picked up during the "yusuke was kidnapped" episodes. They began by seeming incredibly sinister. The first time I watched that portion my interest was legitimately piqued and it felt like they were going to be badasses. And they they join up and are pretty wimpy. Not just in terms of strength or usefulness, but their characters themselves are just blah. They all proved somewhat useful at times during the arc, but it still suffered from having too many protagonists and from them being on a team in which they are largely outclassed by their allies. So at times it felt like everyone was being thrown into strange situations just so Taboo or Shadow or Copy would possibly be useful.

So even if we grant that (some of) the villains were done well, all of the new allies pretty much sucked. And even if it had more plot on the whole than DT, DT still had the most emotional moments in the series. Everything with Genkai in the arc was perfect. I guess I'm just never going to get over chapter black cheapening her death. Maybe some day I'll just try to ignore what happened and give CB another watch with an open mind.

honestly if the series had simply ended with Taguro and Genkai headed off to who knows where I think that would have just been perfect.

Instead they went and brought her back to life? This cheapened the amazing ending to Dark Tournament which is just another problem I find with Chapter Black I guess.

Chapter black was pretty good I'll admit.

but that whole part in the spirit world at the end was very meh to me. That conclusion with Sensui was left me unfulfilled despite him making a solid villain throughout the chapter black arc. But he was basically the only villain who felt particularly villainous. Everyone else on his team just made me wonder why they were on his team. But even so they killed off Game Master which was sort of a "oh wow they killed off a little kid character" moment and then brought him back to life before the arc ended anyways.

Don't get me wrong that arc had a few amazing moments, but more than it's share of mediocre moments as well. The battle of Taboo for example was amazing. But on the whole I consider it to be a definite step down from dark tournament

Yu Yu Hakusho gets kinda "eh" after awhile especially towards the tail end.

Just watch until the through the Dark Tournament. Then watch like 5 more episodes to decide if you like how things are going.

Then keep watching with caution.




But the real correct answer is Bebop.

Only 26 episodes. Amazing start to finish. Literally no reason not to pick this.

Zuko bothered me a bit too.


First he's bad, but devoted to catching the avatar.

Then his uncle starts to fix him. He starts to open up to new ideas.

Then he starts to see the other side of things first hand as a refugee in earth kingdom.

Then he heel turns, but in an unconvincing way.

Then he realizes that there is more to life than earning his father's respect and that the fire nation is not > all.

Finally fully commits to being good.



I don't know something in particular about the half hearted way he heel turns irks me something fierce. He had a decision to make, side with his Uncle or side with Azula. With his uncle having worked on him for 2 seasons already in terms of seeing the world differently it just didn't make sense to me that he would side against Iroh unless he was resolved in his choice, which wasn't the case at all. He could have chosen then and there to be a good guy and it could have been awesome. Or he could have accepted his choice then and there to pursue the avatar at all costs despite his uncle's teachings. And that would have been amazing too. But that point in the series he had both paths laid on in front of him VERY clearly and I just couldn't see any reason for him to not be ready to dedicate himself to one or the other.

And then it was 'cool' when he was a good guy at the end and the whole Zuko vs Azula dynamic was sweet too, but I just didn't like how they handled his choices at that particular point. Maybe it would have been better if it didn't seem like his uncle was being extremely effective in bringing Zuko around. Zuko could have been more resistant maybe and it would have felt more true for him to do what he did.

The question I thought was why the characters currently had a good reason to appose the equalists along side Korra in such a direct way.


It's not like she was a part of "team avatar" when her only purpose was to be a love/jealousy interest. But then her father heel turns and betrays her which gives her an extremely legitimate reason for opposition.

Step 1) See that the servers are going down.
Step 2) See that it will last 3 hours.
Step 3) Rush to the AH and start looking for upgrades whose bids (with reasonable prices) will time out within the next 3 hours. Bid right before servers fall.

I believe the items on the AH will time out even during server down time which means I should be collecting 2 gear upgrades when I log back in since no one can possibly out bid me before the time out.

This combined with 2 gear upgrades I rolled while playing earlier makes me finally feel geared for act 3 inferno. I was already able to clear a good percentage of elite packs, but a couple gear upgrades are going to be the icing on the cake.

I'll grant you all the reasons you just listed for why Bolin and Mako are relevant party members.

But Asami is in no way "questionable". Her DAD is an equalist and he completely betrayed her.

The only question is who she will be loyal to when/if the mako relationship withers and dies, but her stake is as clear as any of them.


Korra doesn't necessarily "need" mako and bolin since she is a superior fighter in her own right, but they do have reasons to be there as well. And a big one that you forgot to mention is that they are both in like and/or love with korra. She met them and bolin was immediately smitten. She joined their team and became their friends. She did well and then mako started to fall for her as well. She was pretty firmly entrenched in their lives emotionally through the combination of team member camaraderie and any other feelings they had along the way. By the time the pro bending angle was removed (after the finals) their fates had been tied together. Maybe they weren't the ones charged with being the avatar, but her fight was now their fight.

DH = squishy ranged carry.

There is no viable DH build that can remotely take a hit at end game, fortunately you have infinity range so you don't need to take hits.

So The Legend of Korra Facebook page may have shot my theory of Amon just being some guy named Amon theory. They posted the link to the last episode on iTunes and said, "keep thinking to yourself, 'who is Amon?'"

They're probably not asking us to solve an impossible mystery. There's a connection somewhere to somebody that we're probably going to be quite familiar with. One of my favorite theories is the one where he's the anti-avatar created when Aang was killed in the avatar state, almost his Nobody if you will.

Well I watched all the korra episodes again since this most recent episode and I'm still not seeing it.

It makes me wonder if I need to be thinking of something from TLA instead, but that would take much longer to wde through.
