Any day now, am I right?

They're still pumping these shits out?
<insert sig here>
Feeling good enough to do a little wfh today. But I got kind of exhausted from a half mile walk this morning. This covid shit is rough
<insert sig here>
Managed to move the trip back a week. My fever seems to have gone down a good bit, sore throat is coming in.
<insert sig here>
I appreciate the well wishes. Unfortunately, I had a little weekend trip planned this week where I was going to propose to my girlfriend. 5/10 is the 5 year anniversary of our first date. It's a bummer.

Please rest as much as you can. COVID is serious even if one has already taken the vaccine.
Yeah, I'll be in bed as much as reasonable. I have a sweat lodge situation in my room right now.

I never got it. A bunch of people at work have had it 2 or 3 times. I avoided it. Havent been sick at all since 2019. Its rare for me to get sick.

Hope it goes well for you.
Me too.

FYI I got this at a company conference with 800 employees.

My first bout. I don't feel great, but not too bad yet. We'll see tomorrow.

Unfortunate

Wondering if it's worth playing

As long as the FF7R trilogy gets finished before SE goes under, I'll be okay.

Is it on Oahu?

It's been awhile, but it sounds like it's referencing "A New Day" which is a short post-game story added to the Switch version of TWEWY.
Yes, it is. The Switch version of TWEWY has a bit of extra content which hinted at events of NEO.

FF7 Remake games are probably my favorite JRPGs in the last 10 years, excluding Persona 5. So good - FF7 Remake is probably in my top 10 JPRGs.

RIP. I'll just pre order from target

For TTYD. Apparently it is no longer available from the supplier, whatever that means.

Not a single fucking person I've ever known in my life has ever said "GHIFF", and any sane person (including the creator of the format himself) defaults to "jif" for a reason. Because the alternative sounds fucking stupid.
Probably the most false thing I've ever read in ten years on my CE.

Is this reaction to the song white culture? I ask this with sincerity.

Interesting this caused more trouble for a youtuber than the president of the US

As a Mario superfan, should I get it?
I probably would. It's a perfectly competent game.

How is the performance? The demo felt a bit sluggish
Not great. The resolution frequently gets pretty low as well. The dips aren't too bad for me though.

It's pretty fun IMO. Extremely easy and clearly aimed at young children, but it has some fun gimmicks with the different costumes. The play aesthetic goes a long way to add charm where depth is lacking.

Not a must play by any means, but a decent time. I'm also sleep deprived from working nights right now, so the low brain power requirements are pretty nice.

Yeah the scorpions are pretty annoying

Idk about Rebirth, but in Remake it usually made more sense to block.
<insert sig here>
Thanks for the motivation.
<insert sig here>
Trying to remember, I played it near launch. The battle system starts slow but gets much more engaging when you have the full number of pins to manage. The battle system is all about setting up pin synergies, and managing resources / cool downs to keep your flow going. There is a random difficulty spike in the middle, but otherwise it's a pretty breezy game.

You dont ever need to worry about it. Get a credit card, put your regular expenses on it, and pay it off every month. Pay all your other bills on time, and your credit score will be fine. Your credit score will take care of itself if you are responsible with your finances.
Agree

The more I think about it, the stranger this release seems to me. I wonder how it will sell.
<insert sig here>
CD kind of sucks, but the other 3 are still pretty fun imo. Especially with the extra characters in Origins.
<insert sig here>
Pretty fun little game, but it seems extremely short. I just finished world 5 after like 2 hours of play time. A fun little puzzle game, but $50 is pretty steep if it's only 8 worlds.

This game is much, much easier than I remember. I was pretty young playing this on the GBA, so I shouldn't be too surprised. I don't regret my purchase for nostalgia reasons, but this should have been at least a small collection of these games for the price imo.

Dropping his age seems like an interestong bit of reddit culture spreading around the internet.

On topic, I don't is an issue if it's a typical cleaning.

Lol fair enough. Maybe I'll pick up PS version. I have vanilla on the shelf, haven't gotten to it yet. With no save transfer, I might just play PS version.
<insert sig here>
I mean for the original version. Tbh it needs to be pretty egregious for me to want to trade off portability.

Is the frame rate that bad on this one?

The dogmatic teaching to have a literal interpretation of the Bible is a relatively modern phenomenon, ironically. As others have noted here, it's important to conservative Christian evangelical groups. To most groups of Christians in the world, it does not matter if you take Genesis as literal history and most typically don't.

Growing up in Southern Baptist type communities, it was very interesting to learn how my understanding of Christianity was limited to a pretty specific subset that emerged in the US less than 100 years ago. If the Christian community around me was not so radical, it could very well be that I wouldn't be an atheist today. But the vehement denial of obvious truths is likely permanently entangled with Christianity, and it would be very difficult to convince me of any afterlife.

Now OpenAI has the data from your company documents.

Do you think that would be more useful than internal company wiki or database?
Probably not. The way we do it now is a combination of an internal search engine, technical forums, and full time librarians which provide service to all branches (~30 nation wide). It works pretty well imo. All of these things are subdivided by technical sub groups, which also includes architecture related topics, so there are some ways to filter what you're looking for. There is also a repository of 100s of technical webinars sorted by topic.

Funny story, am intern in one of our Texas offices drafted a report using ChatGPT. We are very unlikely to hire that intern lol.
<insert sig here>
One thing that would be really useful would be feeding it company documents to create a sort of easy to access reference library. We sort of have that with internal search tools, but I wonder. "AI, what reports or internal research do we have relating to concrete properties and repair techniques after fire exposure? Who within the company is experienced in these types of projects?"

Also there are other applications of AI image detection that may be useful that are certainly not here yet. But that would mostly be applicable to infrastructure maintenance imo.
<insert sig here>
We now have access to copilot at our company. However, most of the useful automation in my industry (structural engineering) is already here imo.

Probably best SW media out there tbh. Certainly best of everything Disney has produced.

Tbh I agree.

Hopefully we can put tip based establishments out of business one day.

I like the tone and vibe and the tomb raider reboots. The Uncharted games at definitely higher quality, though.

They should let Naughty Dog take a stab at Tomb Raider.
