I actually loved 5 when I played through the Pixel Remasters, first time I'd played the game. I thought it was really solid and threatens to overthrow 4 as my favorite of the SNES games.
Make an all Dragoon party. idk

I like the plot, it's incredibly dumb and goofy

the job system was fun, but I fucked myself over because i tried to do it systematically. i wanted every character to master every class, so i did it one by one with everyone as the same class, and i decided to start with the physical classes. so eventually i got to the part where there's the two tower dungeons each with a boss, and one boss is only harmed by physical attacks, while the other is only harmed by magic attacks. i had literally no magical classes leveled at all at that point, so i got so pissed that i just stopped playing the game and never went back. still to this day i've never gotten any further than that in the game.
I just had each character level whatever class required the least points to unlock their next ability, until I had enough unlocked that I could start focusing in on specific builds.
