Just a couple days ago, I ordered a calzone and they forgot to put any cheese inside. Oops ^_^; I sent it back, but they were nice about it.
I rarely do send backs. Unless theres something really wrong. Like telling me there arent tomatoes on the cheese Gordita crunch, and then I get a cheese Gordita crunch with tomatoes on it. I mean, what the fuck.
If it's like the completely wrong order, it goes back. Other than that, I'm usually fine. But the questions seems to be more about steak.

Steak is just the easiest example for me, thats why it was used

just remembered once I got sorta lucky. I sent a triple whopper back for some reason or another and they messed up again when they gave it back to me. this time the mess up was an extra patty though. so now it was a quadruple whopper. I wasn't able to finish it, but I sure as hell gave it my best effort.
One time at Wendys I ordered a Baconator. Which is two patties, 2 slices of cheese, and 4 strips of bacon.
When I got back to work and unwrapped it, I had 3 patties, two slices of cheese, and 8 slices of bacon.
Someone else probably got a Baconator with one patty, two slices of cheese, and no bacon. Lol

If I'm paying a high price for my food at a fancy restaurant and it isn't exactly what I ordered then it's going back. If however it's some low chain "restaurant" that's cheap I let things slide a lot more as I expect it.
i'd say the same, except I don't eat at fancy places. can't recall one where I found the price to be worth the quality and portion size. either the quality isn't worth the price or the portion size is way too small.

Agreed with this. I'm more of a 'pub grub' type of guy than a restaurant goer.

Sending food back to the kitchen is a great way to have your food messed with in unsanitary ways.

chances of that are possible but low. at least in kitchens I worked in, most people don't feel its worth getting potentially fired over. though one guy at the BK I worked with loved screwing with a co-workers order. nothing unsanitary though. shit like putting 30 pickles on the burger, or a quarter inch worth of mayo.
