No and I never will. SSRIs can permanently rob you of your sexual function. Not willing to risk that. The fact that doctors would even let people take shit like that is absolutely disgusting.

Suicide can also permanently rob a person of their sexual function.
If they're made aware of the risks then ok but so many doctors aren't even aware of these side effects or even worse are in complete denile of the fact that it's even a thing.

These types of medications don't fix the issue and that's why I haven't taken any medication on that front. The likes of CBT is much more beneficial I would think.
That's not really that true. It can be difficult to keep track of newly-discovered side effects, since a lot of these drugs aren't well-established, but failing to notify patients about potential side effects is solid grounds for a malpractice suit, so most doctors are pretty good about it.
That varies on a case-by-case basis. There are plenty of cases that do respond better to medication than to any other treatment option, and those people should not be criticized or judged for going with the most (or in some cases, only) effective treatment.

I hate discussing work off the clock, but that isn't true. <__<
It always amuses me that liberals are some of the most drug addicted, mentally unstable people I've come by. Fully reliant on drugs because they've had messed up childhoods. Says a lot about their beliefs, really.

No, but perhaps I should. I hate life, family, and everything in general(I've had suicidal thoughts, but have never attempted it).
I...I need help....

It's alright honey, you have a nice day.
You can cry about it all you want; doesn't make it any less truthful. Most normal people work their way out of problems. They don't sedate themselves with addictive drugs to make the pain go away.
Serious question, are anti-depressants easily available in the US or is it just a coincidence that so many people on this board were on them?

Yes it is. Look up PSSD.

No, I have decent control over my depression and understand why it is triggered, and can pretty easily get myself out of it.
Getting to the route of the problem is the most important thing though. That isn't done though medication.

I took a pill for 4 weeks and got paid five grand. Never noticed any effects.

Very easy to access, I almost think doctors just throw them at people who come in about a majority of mental issues so they can avoid fixing the underlying issue's at hand. It would make more sense to limit antidepressants so that only mental doctors can prescribe them, to avoid the over prescription that we have seen.
They're prescription only, but it's supposedly pretty easy to get a script.
