Sorry I messed up the hint point format whoopsss

to elaborate, the hints being converted to points make no sense because if you use a hint, then get something right, the net gain is 0. so you could just not answer, and not use any hints and you would end up with the same score as you would have had you used hints and gotten the answer. in fact, if you didn't manage to figure it out after the hint, you would end up losing points. this is so bad and i didn't even realize until way later.

so that is my bad. very sorry. it should have been something like unused hints convert to like half-points or you only get the bonus if you didn't use any hints or something along those lines.

well everyone checked in so i'll start tallying and have results soon.

Oh I thought you meant you were going to change how hint points were allocated, turning them into half points (which for me would mean 6.5 or 7 depending on if we get three or four)

i think i'll do that for the next one maybe. i don't like changing rules like that so much time later. too much time has been spent on today's challenge lol

You know, in Survivor, top seven is right around when eliminated contestants are added to the jury who decide the final tribal council! Now that everyone only has one song, that could be a fun thing to incorporate as we get knocked out. Not necessarily us deciding the winner between the final two but something maybe to keep people engaged as this winds down.

yeah i've been thinking about that since the near beginning but that would necessitate continued participation. if people want to dip after their song goes out, i can't make them stick around. i was leaning at least allowing some sort of voting like that for eliminated people but again, it would be strictly voluntary so idk how much participation i would get on something like that.

they were the 2 i considered "hardest" because they were by far the least known afaik. unless you were watching seasonally back then for #5 or knew something about shoujo for #9
