I don't think the Lens of Truth would be very useful. There aren't very many magically invisible platforms or magically fake walls in the real world.

Do the golden gauntlets give useable super strength in the real world? Or do they only let you lift specific rocks that probably dont exist?

If we're being generous it probably has some real world equivalent. Cheating at cards maybe? Seeing into safes and such?
You'd have to hold up the lens to do it though. Might also need magic power somehow I guess.

Edit: Oh... it also lets you see ghosts.

How would you know if you dont have a Lens of Truth to be checking?

Assuming it can do what it does in Majoras Mask, the Ocarina is clearly the best choice.

Let's take these in order:

Ocarina of Time - Does literally nothing, as it's the songs you are taught that actually have powers (hence why you can play a random ocarina that Saria gives you and get the same effect). The game literally never checks that you have the Ocarina of Time for anything. Even the one thing that you might assume you need it for - opening the Door of Time - doesn't technically need the Ocarina of Time, just the Song of Time (though you only get the latter after obtaining the former in the base game). I'd be tempted to take this one if it worked like it did in the randomizer, where you can use it to travel back and forth through time instantaneously, but it's useless otherwise.

Hookshot - Potentially useful, though it would probably be pretty hard on the shoulders.

Lens of Truth - Useless unless it comes with the magic required to use it. Even then, it only works to spot invisible objects and the contents of some containers. What are you really going to use it for?

Giant's Wallet - More money is always nice, though I don't know the exchange rate of Hylian rupees to real world currencies.

Goron Tunic - Unless you live near a volcano or enjoy taking walks through your local wildfire, this one's pretty useless too. Heck, it doesn't even prevent non-ambient heat damage, just reduces it.

Zora Tunic (with golden scale) - The golden scale does nothing, since most people can already comfortably dive 10 metres if pressed. Zora tunic is functional if you live in a coastal or lakeside area, but we basically already have it in the form of a scuba tank.

Hover Boots - I honestly can't think of a real-world application for being able to avoid falling for ~3 seconds at a time, at the cost of having terrible traction.

Golden Gauntlets - Potentially useful.

Basically, it comes down to the hookshot, the gold gauntlets, the giant's wallet, and *maybe* the zora tunic. I think I'd go with the gauntlets myself, unless the exchange rate on 500 rupees is really, *really* good.

Ocarina of Time has teleporting magic. Probably the most useful thing on that list.

The rest are kinda useless, NGL. Except maybe the gauntlet, if that's the one that lets you pick up heavy stuff, but I rarely want to do that anyway.

Plus I don't think any of us have a little green bar above our heads that drains magic power while using it.

People voting for Hookshot arent thinking about the real life physics.

It has a metal chain thats like 40 ft long, so right off the bat that thing is gonna be super heavy.

It has enough power to lift a fully grown adult man up to where the hook landed, and it lifts you up very quickly. That thing is gonna rip your arm out of its socket!

Your attempt to bring real-life physics into this isn't going to stop me from voting for the coolest item in a Zelda game.

In reality, Goron's Tunic with the way global warming has been going will soon be a necessity. So honestly if that keeps me cool in the summer, that 100%.

The gauntlets would be second for sure. Easy moving of things in the house.

Third would be hover boots probably. Just for fun.

If Orcarina could let me teleport places (specifically any place I've already been), I'd get that in a heartbeat.

If that's how the Goron Tunic really worked, and it was something comfortable that you put on that keeps you very cool in hot weather I want to change my vote.

Nah, man it's my mistake. Apparently the one in Hyrule is Lyft exclusively.

Goron's tunic is the only one with IRL functionality TBH so I'm taking that.

Plus all the actual time travel was via the Sacred Realm not the ocarina so even if it had magic the most you'd be able to do is create very localized rain (not really useful for anything besides a party trick) or... Actually that's about all it'd be able to do because the teleporting wouldn't work since the locations don't exist in our reality and neither do the time blocks.

God the ocarina became an even worse option the more I thought about it lol. Definitely grabbing that tunic, no more will I be bothered by aussie summers!

I would choose the Giant's Wallet (with giant money in it), but I'm concerned about the effects of inflation on the exchange rate.

The Golden Gauntlets would be the most useful as lifting heavy objects is something that happens frequently.

The Zora Tunic would be the most novel though. Being able to breathe underwater would just be neat.

Imagine wearing the Goron Tunic and it's 100 degrees f outside and you feel like it's a cool 68, just chilling.

The Goron Tunic doesn't seem to block non-dangerous heat (Link's idle animation in hot areas, where he sighs in exhaustion and wipes away sweat, doesn't change when he has the tunic on) and it doesn't prevent damage from fire (it only works on ambient heat; the only difference if you run into fire with the tunic on is it doesn't catch on fire, so you don't take damage over time), so neither of these are really true.

Being able to breath underwater just due to wearing a shirt would be pretty baller.

If the Ocarina comes with the songs, and they work in the real world, that's the easy choice.

Otherwise, Gauntlets I guess.

It can do a lot more in Majora's Mask, including time travel without the Sacred Realm, slowing down time, and jumping ahead in time.
