crazy HOW many people make above money and have money left over but instead of investing it they sit on the oney in their bank account. passive investing is good investing wether it be a mag 7 stock or simply putting small money in CDs, investing in pokemon what have you. having money to make money passively is not a bad thing, and even though after covid MANY people were more career and $ focused as in either idc about money or money is what i want so I can retire early. this is not financial advice thread nor is it pumping for stocks . but ask away --- squaresoft NEVER FORGET NBA ... not sure if joking or not but to be honest, two schools of thought
if youre in your 50s you prolyl want to look for more dividends and passive incoming andless volatility, as anyone will say, day trading and investing is 2 diff things and we wil talk about INVESTING for long term. it doesn't sound sexy doesn't soundfun but it is what it is, I always recommend to put or buy into the S&P or VOO if I had a choice and someone desperately really wanted to. even if its 20$ a month, put it in either and just hold long term 10-20-30 years. this i for people who dont want to check up every day, every week or just wan tot stash money away and make it work for you i a way., you also get dividends as well 1-3x per year if its not quarterly --- squaresoft NEVER FORGET NBA ... CRON posted... I know absolutely fucking nothing about stocks but I keep track of a lot of business news. Could I feasibly get into stocks with a dollar? The market more often than not acts completely irrationally to news about policy and financials. The kind of news you're better off keeping track of is what specialized goods or service a specific subset of an industry is looking for, then find a company that provides that good or service. It's important that the company has employees, makes money, and demonstrably does what they claim to do - there are hundreds of "companies" with 12 employees, zero revenue, and don't actually make anything. If you're lucky, you'll have invested in a company that scores a lucrative contract weeks or months before it's announced. If the company you picked was left out there's still a chance the entire sector gets a small bump from the hype. Alternatively don't sweat it and buy VOO. If you're feeling a tiny bit more adventurous buy a little SPMO on the side. --- http://i.imgur.com/szMsu.png Validate your purchases and discredit the purchases of others whenever possible. I look at it this way, if SP crashes, that means legit civilization crashes, and at that point what would money actually mean? the question is is crypto or bitcoin "sustainable" that more interesting question, i think putting money in bitcoin isn't as risky as it was 10years ago it see,s i dont have crypto aka when I say that bitcoin but i wish I got in early. i think bitcoin seems to be here to "stay" as well. although the goalpost of early crypto thinking and nowadays is complete 180 when it first started it was talked about the backup play FOR WHEN the market crashes, now I thkn the two are completely jointed at the hip now. unlike 8 years ago --- squaresoft NEVER FORGET NBA ...
