It will be tough with the competition this year (especially Clair Obscur), but damn does it look incredible.

Some pretty positive reactions, it seems. Was extremely lukewarm on this myself. I really hate the aesthetic which doesn't help.

That looked way better than everything they showed before, but I feel like they showed too much. Maybe there will still be surprises in how it plays but I doubt it.

Also, I know it's not what actually happened in like 2 months, but it feels like they replaced the annoying rock with Pauline, lol.

I like the clear implication that Rambi is way too popular to be a mere DK transformation.

I saw some of it just now, but dont want to see too much because it feels like theyre showing off a lot now. Game looks incredible.

tbh I dont actually like the aesthetic all that much specifically in terms of character art style but like

I can 10000% give that personal meh a pass because the gameplay looks immaculate lol

I was a little lukewarm on the game before but that was a really good Direct, the opposite of Mario Kart's. Do we think this is a direct prequel to Odyssey?

I don't mind the aesthetic and art direction at all, I just don't care for Donkey Kong himself but that's more just a personal I've never truly liked how Donkey Kong's looked. This new version is way more expressive but I still think him as a character looks kinda gross. Apes in general are pretty gross looking in real life so alas

So Pauline is aging in reverse, like Benjamin Button.

I recommend reading Mobile Suit Gundam: Donkey Kongs Deleted Affair, it explains his past history with Jump Man very well. But you can play the games without it, youll miss some references is all
