but too dirty to put back in the drawer? Like a shirt or pants that you only wore once and are totally clean.

My floor constantly has pants on it that I plan on wearing another day.

I've got a plastic basket on a shelf near the bed that I put jeans in after wearing them 1-2 times. That's about the only time I encounter this. Pretty much anything else, I wear it enough that it's dirty enough for the laundry hamper.

Ok, a little basket, that should work.

I just thought there's probably something wrong when I've got spots on my floor I have to be careful not to step on at all times.

I don't do that. Anything I wear goes directly into the hamper and gets washed before I'll wear it again. Anything less seems way to unhygienic.

The only real exception would be like if I only wear a shirt for a few hours or something for some reason. Then I might just toss it on the bed. But I'd wear it again soon after.

I know a lot of people will say you can wear jeans for multiple days in a row, but I don't wear jeans so that doesn't really apply for me.

If there's a trivial amount of grime, I just hang it back up.

If it's dirty in any way, it's in my laundry hamper. If I wore the shirt for only a few hours and there is no discernable smell or anything on it, I'll hang it back up. Same with pants or shorts (back in drawer).

I thought denim wasn't supposed to get washed that often. Am I gross for not washing my jeans unless I get something on them?

I generally wear them for three days (alternating with another pair) before washing them, which I wouldn't call "that often." I can't say I've looked into the optimal wash frequency or anything. This is more of a vibe thing.
