I got a Switch 2 Preorder from the nintendo lottery

No interest, no plans to ever buy one.

No plan at all. I game on a PC; actually have a new one coming in next week.

I know Ill probably get one at some point but it doesnt have any games I want for it yet.

Pre ordered from Target, took 15min straight of trying for it to finally go through. I got it mostly because I love Metroid and want to play it on the switch 2. I play enough of the games from Nintendo for it to still be worth it to me in getting one.

Yes I am, I got my invite early Friday. Sounds like no more invites have gone out since Friday evening though.

Now what I am worried about, is a possible Canada Post Strike, which Nintendo ships through here in Canada

Update, comes Purolator, not Canada Post, at least express does. So Postal Strike will not hurt me getting my Switch 2!

I'm not sure when the non-priority offers will be going out, but presumably they'll give the priority folks a week or two to make their decision. I'm not holding my breath for an offer, given that it's so much easier to just make an account than to make an account and also subscribe to NSO and have 50 hours of play time, but I figure it can't hurt to try.

Realistically, buying or not buying a Switch 2 isn't going to amount to taking a position on $80 games. $80 will become the new norm for games that are now $70 now that Nintendo's been the first to take that step (though even then it sounds like most first-party Nintendo games will be $70). The only way you're going to be able to express disapproval of that change is to avoid buying games at that price, whether by skipping them altogether or by waiting for sales/used copies.

I'll be very surprised if console modders don't find a way around the remote bricking pretty quickly, making it a pretty moot point because it won't be affecting anyone that isn't trying to mod the console and those that are will be able to avoid it. It's just another chapter in the eternal arms race between pirates and publishers. It's not necessarily a good thing, but I'm not too concerned about it.

No, which will be the first time since the Wii I haven't pre-ordered a console. Not for any grand reason, I'm just busy, still have 1-2 games to finish on my Switch, and an assload to play on Steam. And while the new MK and DK look quite fun, there's no Day 1 games I feel like I absolutely need.

I feel like I'll wait until MP4 launches later in the year, and pull the trigger then.
