Duly noted on Shuyin. I do acknowledge you have different tastes but the minor fodder stuff kinda blurs together (yours are worse, I can never count on you for a Genesis save!!)

Charon mains things consistently for a long time while I'm a lot more flighty about my chosen mains and projects, hence why I have a lot more mooks. They're a flash in the pan (or a sizzle in some cases) and then they're gone. While Charon's stick around forever or until he gets bored of them.

Ah it's no big deal. I'm never really upset when you or anyone else rides me on my choices, but I have this compelling need to defend them.

I don't like anyone! Kimahri is pretty decent at least. I actually enjoyed him more when he wouldn't talk to me (Tidus) at all and told me to shut up, pick spot and wait.

I think a big part of it is I think the voice acting is atrocious and it takes away from anything that might be a meaningful scene. The dialog too just feels off. Back and forth conversations between the characters just don't make sense a lot of the time.

At the very least I look forward to your tertiary Kimahri support, as this is the one and only contest I can guarantee I'm going all in on him for~

Im going to reset my priorities after the soft boots end. And Kimahri is going to benefit from that reset.

Ermine I tried to think of a cute maybe animal character from FFX, your typical MO, but I drew a complete blank. Rikku might be the cutest character in that whole game.

Rikku is weird. She's always doing weird hand motions for no reason.

I do like when she's just running off in random directions, that amuses me.

But like... she started calling Yuna, Yunie after knowing her for 5 minutes and acted like she was besties with her... after 5 minutes. Like come on, could we not have some growth to that?

I will give saves to both when I can for sure. Red and Torgs are both very good boys!

But I don't think Nanaki survives without at least one of Red or I giving full support to him.

Given how wildly inconsistent Torgal is: either he's leading the pack or he's straggling in the back, an early upset exit would not surprise me. He can't keep Tuesday'ing forever at this rate. I think the XVI influx may have had the worst effect on him and Clive. Not that I mind. They're all good characters. Sadly I think that 3rd place finish is the best Torgal will ever get.

And if red13n and Ziggy have thrown their hats into the Cait ring I suspect Nanaki will get like 44th at best.

That all sounds about right. I think even 44th is being a bit generous.

I'll try to help Clive and Torgal more once we get out of boots. I'm just trying to get Laguna and Seifer through these next few rounds, and then they'll probably shuffle down the ranks a bit.

I will say I enjoy Ifrit's design in this game.

It doesn't beat FFXVI's, obviously, but I always enjoy the more animalistic design for Ifrit :)

X's Bahamut and Shiva designs are really where it's at!

Still gotta test the limits and nominate Bahamut's Fayt one of these days imo. Bahamut's Fayt for 55th wooooo~

Also if the contest were to open up to more Squeenix characters rather than just FF (it never will I know) I'd totally favor Albel Nox over Fayt!

Also not true! Anima is actually Seymour's mother's name. Plus the Magus sisters are probably named after their Fayth counterparts. Can't confirm that one though.

Edited again to add maybe Yojimbo is too? I feel the game states he was a famous warrior in-game before he became a Fayth, but it's been too long since I've played so I cannot say for sure.

Basically all the optional summons could have names that correspond to their Fayth

And anyway, there is one fayth with a known name. Jecht, the fayth of Braska's Final Aeon.

I mean in theory yes. Dunno why you'd want to. Their Fayths probably have a grand total of two speaking lines so why wouldn't you just nominate the summon? Also that's my least favorite summon so I can't get on board the Cindy, Mindy, or Sandy train at all.

The point is this is why you wouldn't allow Fayth separate from the summon itself

Either you don't know the name or the name is redundant

Would the Magus Sisters even count as X characters? Or do they fall under the summon rule and count as IV characters, even though they weren't summons in IV?
