got a massive headache playing outer wilds and i think i just need something more linear in general. likely an RPG or VN. only real console i'm considering is switch main options i'm thinking of: - suikoden 2 - FFX (have played through 7, 8, and 9 since COVID; previously ragequit after dying to seymour because i couldn't stand sitting through the 30-min cutscene again) - bug fables open to other thoughts too --- yet all azuarc of all sorts are more or less capricious and unreliable - they live in the varying outer weather, and they inhale its fickleness ... Xenoblade Chronicles X on Friday if you've never played that The other XBC games are great on Switch too. Decent to good stories, easy combat with difficult optional challenges, and will take up a lot of time. --- skull ... Copied to Clipboard!

I gave Bug Fables a try a couple years ago and was having a good time until I hit a softlock that was going to set me back at least an hour of progress. (I think I got myself stuck in a corner behind a tree or something dumb like that, after reaching a new area and not saving yet.) I never bothered picking it back up.
