random_man9119 02/13/25 11:39:31 AM #1:	Kind of talked about this in the Sony State of Play topic... Games you think are great just that you suck at them... This came up when they showed the Lies of P DLC For instance, I like Sekiro but I can't parry for shit and always end up stuck... One my four attempts at the game, I got stuck at Genichiro in the tower 3 times and Guardian Ape on the last try... The most fun I had with them I think was a Dark Souls 3 mod called pocket souls. I actually finished it in about 10 hours with around 5 deaths or so but the whole experience was so stressful and anxiety inducing I'm not sure I really enjoyed any of it until I could breathe again once the credits were rolling. It plays amazingly well but I'd have loved it a lot more if it was closer to a rougelite than a roguelike. I was so afraid of dying due to the time commitment that I spent the entire game on my toes which just ended up being exhausting. Typically though if I ever went back to it I might enjoy it a lot now I don't care about getting to the end anymore. Also after Demon's Souls I won't even consider any of the Fromsoft titles in that general series. I didn't hate it but it's the similar issue with Returnal, I find dying too punishing from a time perspective so I'd rather not gamble and just play something else.
