Yes, having it relate to Sumeru and even fucking XAMARAN was amazing. If you go talk to Xamaran there's a new dialogue too! I love that shit.

I have a decision to make. Do I continue pulling to try for C0 Iansan or save up for C0 Xilonen? Varesa is C1 right now. Forgot how many pulls in I am since then, but I think I'm over halfway to 90.

If you don't want Varesa again, a good time to give up. Xilonen is a much more versatile unit who could glue a lot of different teams in your future.

Generally I consider 10-30 rolls safe (and fantastic luck if you roll the 5* anyway). 40 is already risking it.

At C0 Iansan can be pretty awkward.

No! That's a terrible idea. If you're saving up for someone else, don't risk getting Varesa again.

IF you have calculated it that even a worst case scenario won't keep you from getting another character, go for it. This banner has maybe the best 4 star selection ever. If you want all three and none are at C6, I would say it's worth pulling even if you don't want the 5 star character.

But only if you know you will still have enough primos when you need them.

I meant that I'm going to save for Xilonen. Gaming is at C3, but I doubt I'll ever use him. Chevy is at C6. I don't feel like trying for C2 Varesa.

Finished building Iansan finally and slapped her and Varesa in a team with Furina and Xilonen. A LOT of fun, I'm glad I ended up getting Varesa on that whim.

Used Varesa in almost all event challenges.
She's incredibly fun and has no bullshit in her kit at all. Why can't Mihoyo design all characters like this?

I also find Varesa to be a lot of fun to use. The one qualifier I have is that she can be VERY frustrating if you are on a small ledge or surrounded by lava.

I find a lot of Natlan characters have a similar issue. They are all about mobility, but that can be a liability in overworld combat. There's lots of times with Mualani or Mavuika where I accidently trigger the swap where they go right into mobility mode and go careening off a ledge, into a wall, or get stuck on the environment.

Yeah, I kinda wish there was a way to toggle Nightsoul Transmission activating in battles.

All I'm missing from Varesa artifact-wise is a decent Sands. Trying for the new plunge set and the only attack Sands I got has no useful sub-stats. Bleh.

That's true about their mobility sometimes being a pain in certain locations. For me it's also Kinich when he's using his skill. And yesterday I was exploring the world quest area and was fighting one of those weasels that was on a SMALL area circled by lava, and that was when I was testing Varesa. She must have taken a lava bath about 3-4 times mid-fight rofl.

Good luck! Artifacts can be so painful. I'm still not completely happy with my Varesa set but I'm going to wait until it becomes a strongbox option before I stress over it more.

The artifact luck continues to be a letdown, same with trying to farm relics for Castorice in HSR. Oh well. It doesn't take long to do that domain, despite using sub-optimal teams to do it.

How'd everyone do with the latest combat event? I got gold on all but one (silver), so that was good enough for me. Haven't really tried to work on teams and their gear.

I got full-platinum on the combat event (averaged 1300 across all but the final one), but the last one is pretty garbo (got barely over 900 for the platinum), since to get max buff, you need a full 4-person team of Natlan characters in the first cycle (at least they don't need to be combat viable, just survive to proc Nightsoul Bursts), then you still need someone who can get on top of the phlogiston pillars of the boss in cycle 2.

I did learn midway through the fight that Kazuha can jump up it on his own, so I could theoretically do better, but I don't care as much to do it again.

A ton of characters can do it, though nightsoul units speed up the time until it begins the pillar phase (= faster resistance shred coz otherwise it spends the time at high resist).

But yeah I did use an unbuilt lv20 Ororon to proc nightsoul bursts in the first room.

All platinum on my end as well; this one was a bit easier than the last combat event.

Eheh I just stuck with getting silver/medium difficulty for them.

I swear to God the last patch did something and now the L1+O thing to use gadgets is a horrible pain in the ass that refuses to register the input. Works on every other game and it has no issues detecting them separately, but genshin hates the gadget buttons now.

I remember seeing the game giving me a tutorial for the gadgets after 5.5 came out so they did do something to it, but I skimmed and didn't really see what it did lol

What's everyone's pulling plans? I'm really interested in Skirk but I keep seeing online that Escoffier is a "must pull" for her so I'm lowkey starting to feel like I should try for her as well, despite my 0 personal interest.

Trying for C0 Xilonen during this banner, and then I don't have any plans. Probably hoard for future characters.

Escof demands hydro+cryo, Skirk demands it too, so both are a skip to me. I don't need incredibly niche characters who are forever stuck in 1 team of 3 very specific limited 5* units, all of whom I do not have. Add a cryo shield / immunity, or ANY other elemental check and they're all useless.

I'm just waiting until Mihoyo announces an interesting character.

Just pulled Dehya so now I've got a guarantee whenever someone cool comes along. I don't have much time to play, what with having an 8 month old daughter, but slowly working through Natlan.

Depends on how critical Escoffier is for Skirk. I dont pull for 5* units Im not gonna use.

Xilonen is a great choice. good in combat and plus she's great to use for traversal, even outside of Natlan.

And yeah, I'm not super fond of Skirk being so hammered in to that very specific niche, but I love her design so much and she's very lore relevant. ;_; And I do have other hydro/cryo people I hope would work with her, including Shenhe.

I wanted Skirk too but yeah I hope she functions without Esco. I was also thinking of getting Navia to cover my geo damage weakness.

Navia is a lot of fun! She's so stylish with fun animations and it's fun constantly raining down boulders. And that's before including her shotgun lol.

All about Mondstadt. Feels like we're gonna have like, half a dozen high quality versions in a row for story enjoyers with Mare Jivari and Nod Krai on the horizon

I feel the story will kick up from here on anyway since we're entering the final stages of the whole arc. I am SOOO excited. I just feel really bad for EN listeners with how quiet this is gonna be. >.<

Maybe we'll be surprised with some returning or recast voices. I doubt it, but I see more and more recasts in the horizon. Three EN voices were replaced in ZZZ, recently.
