Well, I just finished the "Last Survivor of Tenochtzitoc" quest (I believe you can unlock it as soon as you finish the Natlan Bennett quest) and damn, I was not expecting to find out that Enjou is the lavawalker... but it does make sense.

I can't put my finger on it, but I'm pretty sure there have been one or two world quests like this where a playable character had an unvoiced role.

But I don't think they've ever had more than a short cameo. This is almost definitely the first time a playable character has had a major role in a world quest.

Managed to get Ororon from C3 to C6 with 45 pulls.

Cool double 5* pull. Gets you at the ready for the next banner character you want.

After having my brain tuned to Guitar Hero / Rock Band for several years, doing the Repertoire of Myriad Melodies is such a chore to get my fingers to hit the right keys.

At the beginning of this year, I got Jean off the standard banner. She was already c6. My next highest standard banner character was c3. Keqing was (and still is) c0. Same for Tighnari, and I wouldn't even have that if I hadn't picked him as my anniversary 5 star.

At the time, I thought I was very unlucky.

Now, obviously, I feel differently.

Ya, They announced it on the live stream. Whenever you pull a copy of a 5 star you have C6 on (including standard) you get a Masterless Stella Fortuna. You can use 1 of them to take a character from 90 to 95 and then 2 to go form 95 to 100.

It is kind of bullshit, that's for sure.

On the other hand, it's probably not going to affect the game very much.

Based on the way Hoyo has done things up to now, I'm guessing that the highest level of Stygian Abyss that gives the gold weapon skins (can't be bothered to remember the name) will be scaled around you having all level 100 characters. The second highest that gives the blue weapon skins will be scaled around you having a level 95 main DPS. Along with maybe level 12 of Spiral Abyss. But it will still be doable with all level 90 if you're good. Hell, there will probably be some maniacs who clear the highest level of Stygian with all level 90 teams and post it on YouTube just to show everyone it can be done.

And, of course, 99% of the content will continue to be easy to clear with level 80, 4 star weapons, and mediocre artifacts.

It's funny, the scenes that everyone else seems to cry at never really get me but I've straight up bawled at stuff that no one else mentions hardly, like Paimon's speech at the end of the Gosoythoth fight

Decided to get Chasca by winning a 50/50. Now to save until someone I want comes up in Nod-Krai. Probably Alice. I assume there will be a 4* to pick up as part of a quest.

Level 100 is equivalent in power to a bad constellation (~10% increase) on most characters, so we shouldn't expect any big changes.

There's just no way they'd balance things around something that's consistently accessible to a tiny fraction of the playerbase. Even dire SO is doable for f2ps if you choose to prioritize meta characters. Why do we think they're going to suddenly change course on this?

I don't think it's a "course change" at all. It seems to me that it's exactly what they've been building towards all along.

I didn't feel all that strongly about Columbina back during lazzo but the moon aesthetics have grown on me so hard and I'm so interested to learn her story. I'm not gonna catch a break over this next while, all of these characters are must haves.

I'd like to take a moment to thank Genshin Impact and Hoyo for making me numb to the artifact grind. It's made playing Nightreign and its randomized relic system much more palatable.

Ineffa and Aino are so precious, I'm over here about to tear up over every bit of dialogue between them

These new Nod Krai enemies feel significantly tougher than what we've seen so far. Don't get me wrong, I can still take them down easy with a halfway decent team, but janky teams with mid characters and poor synergy don't cut it anymore.

Seems this update broke the music a bit, sometimes even after I teleport to another nation Nod Krai music keeps playing

Finished the archon quest and it's easily the best start we've had to a region. I love having the lore and world building come to the forefront this way, I don't know what the previous plan was but inserting Nod Krai here definitely seems like the right move. The technical improvement to cutscenes and such are doing a lot of work too. Hard not to be excited for the next few years of Genshin as a story and lore enjoyer.

The Rerir cutscenes were dope as hell even after I was spoiled a bit on that. I like that they're leaving major things like that entirely out of the livestreams lately

I enjoyed it as well; pretty much all the characters are likeable and more lore is always good. Wasn't expecting to see Lumine again so soon, and I thought they had retconned the fact that the siblings woke up separately at first lol

Liking the exploration so far too, though needing to solve a puzzle then logout and back in so you can solve it a second way is certainly a design choice... and I see Fatui warrants seem to be the new samurai handguards in that they're needed for basically anything that needs ascending...

I'm far from a Corina hater, I thought they had pretty much perfected the role ever since around mid Fontaine. But new Paimon is growing on me, especially when she sounds like Minnie Mouse
