Just like the Shiny Meloetta Event, you can now obtain these two shiny Pokmon for the first time.*

To obtain shiny Manaphy, complete the Sinnoh Dex in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

To obtain shiny Enamorus, complete the Hisui Dex in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

*I know technically shiny Manaphy was possible to obtain earlier, but requires immense patience and/or SID and RNG loopholes.

Fuck, guess I'll be tranferring stuff to Home then and catching any stragglers I've missed today...

Don't care much for Manaphy but I want Shiny Enamorus...

For clarification, you have to transfer each Pokemon to Home to register it. So if you move your Torterra to Home, it wont automatically register Turtwig and Grotle even though theyre registered in your in-game dex.

And they have to be caught/hatched in that game.

Note: Completing the Sinnoh/Hisui dex means transferring a pokemon originally obtained from those games into HOME.

eg. A Chimchar caught in Scarlet/Violet and transferred to HOME will not count for the BDSP dex.

However, if someone trades you a chimchar originally from BDSP and you transfer that one to HOME, then it counts.

With that said, I need a Palkia still >->

If you're willing to part with one, I have a bunch of shiny pokemon I'd be willing to offer up in exchange.

Otherwise if you need a touch-trade for anything else, I have a living dex for PLA and SV.

Neat, I guess I should do some more transfers of Arceus stuff. I have a loving dex in game, so it shouldn't be an issue

I don't own Legends Arceus and don't plan on buying it, so trying to do the Hisui Dex just isn't realistic for me. But I do own Shining Pearl, and I'm about 70% of the way to completing the Sinnoh Dex. I started breeding some more stuff earlier today to fill the dex and this happened.

Got both of my shiny rewards now.

I only need like 20 more for the Enamorous. Don't know if it's worth the pain of playing BDSP for the Manaphy.

You only need the standard Sinnoh Dex, not the national dex, if that helps your decision-making.

I'm at 145/150 now for the Sinnoh Dex. Unfortunately, 4 of the 5 I still need will require trading (Alakazam, Gengar, Machamp, and Dialga), and I have no local friends to trade with nor a currently active NSO subscription. The 5th one I still need is Milotic, and evolving a Feebas is a pain in the ass.

Got Enamorus tonight, working on Manaphy now. I'd finished Shining Pearl's natdex, but didn't bring much from it to Home when I was finishing Home's natdex for Magearna, so having to breed for a lot of first and middle stages

Managed to get myself a 7-day free trial of NSO's base plan, so I'm able to trade for a bit. Does anyone here have a Dialga caught in Brilliant Diamond that they could trade and trade back for my Palkia caught in Shining Pearl?

I also have a Kadabra, Haunter, and Machoke that I need to trade evolve, so if someone could help me with that too, that would be great.

What were the unlock conditions for the HOME Magearna? I thought it was just completing the dex for all Pokmon up to that point but I never got it.

It was (is?) finishing your entire dex and then the mobile app version would have a mystery gift available to redeem

All right, cool. I just set up a trade lobby in BD/SP and PM'd you the link code. We can do the trade evos first, then the Dialga/Palkia swap, then after I deposit them in Home and withdraw Dialga we can swap Dialga/Palkia back.

Maybe Magearna is included in that. I thought it was complete dex but Magearna not included

You need Magearna too. The reward is a special "original color" Magearna that looks like a Pokeball.

Thanks for the help! Now all I need is to evolve my Feebas into Milotic and I'm all done.

EDIT: Wow, that was way easier than I thought it would be. I only had to do the Poffin-making mini-game twice (I used a combination of Chesto, Oran, Wiki, and Razz berries) and the 8 Poffins I got from those 2 spins were enough to evolve my Feebas. Sinnoh Dex finished, shiny Manaphy acquired!

No problem! Back to biking in front of the daycare for me lmao

If you import stuff from gen 4 (as in, the DS games), does it count for Home's Sinnoh dex?

Because as much of a pain that would be, I think I'd still prefer that to having to buy Brilliant Diamond.

Nope. Meloetta, Manaphy and Enamorous are game-based dex completions. They need to be originating from BDSP.

I know that Home's dexes need stuff to originate from the actual corresponding games; I just was wondering if the original D/P/P games also counted as corresponding games.

They do not. The Pokemon have to specifically be obtained from BD/SP and have the BD/SP origin mark to count.

Hisui and Sinnoh done! Kinda wanting to start on Galar and Kanto to be prepared for when their rewards are available, but would also rather avoid playing Shield at all.

Knowing that they might add a reward for completing the Galar Dex later on, I regret trading my physical copy of Shield (the last physical game I bought and may ever buy) in to Gamestop last year.

I never played through SwSh, but I own a copy of Sword + DLC. I guess I'll need to trudge through it someday.

Do you have to get Darkrai in Legends Arceus to complete the pokedex?

Would be pretty shitty if so since you can't get Darkrai unless you have a BDSP save file

Nope, the three dex completion tasks so far have avoiding needing any event-only mons. No Datkrai or Shaymin for PLA, no mythicals at all for BDSP and no Pecharunt, Walking Wake or Iron Leaves for SV
