My dads doctor said sitting to pee is bad for you if you are prone to kidney stones. Since my dad gets kidney stones all the time and is a sitter, he's changed to standing. I've been standing all my life and haven't gotten any stones yet. I don't think I'm ever going to switch to sitting.

Yeah, my stream spreads and I've been trying to get myself to sit to pee at home, but standing is just so ingrained in my head it's hard to commit.

its not just about the drip, there's also the splash. i guarantee you that every single time you stand to pee, some of it ends up on the floor.

It's actually better for you. Lets you flex your muscles better than when standing up and you empty your bladder better, iirc.

My wife made a comment a few months ago but how she always hears about the mess men make, and how she was happy I somehow didn't ever make a mess. I then realized that she had never known that I sat down, even after years of living together.

i had no idea i was in the company of so many other sit-to-pee'ers.

i said that sitting creates significantly less of a mess, as in it reduces the mess to almost zero.

but sometimes i am groggy and not really awake or paying attention, which has lead to making a bit of a mess. or sometimes there's the 'split stream' that JMO mentioned. or sometimes the stream is really powerful, and causes a lot of splash. or sometimes there's a little bit of a dribble as the stream weakens and that ends up on the seat or the floor.

if you're able to pee while standing and leave no traces of urine around the bathroom, you are much more skilled with with your member control than i am.

I sit at home. I sit at friends houses. Hell, I sit at work (I'm a janitor, so I just clean the toilet seat first before rocking a piss).

one of the final straws for me was watching a drop slash from the toilet up onto the sink, close to where i keep my toothbrush. ew. and im not even tall.

I should state, however, some toilets at a friend's house/work I won't sit to pee on. It's those toilets with close bowls and high water. Ain't no on wanting their weiner touching the water, nor the bowl.

i've noticed that peeing into a urinal sometimes results in splash back onto my pants. ew. i do my best to aim down into the bottom of the bowl, instead of against the wall, but splash is so hard to control ;_;

I'm 6'4 and always have splash-up. Sitting is always better for me, (at home anyway). And I keep a cap on my toothbrush.

Same. When I'm home and I pee sitting down, there's a 70% chance I will also poop in the next 5-10 minutes also

the splash back is the worst part of it. Im a tall dude and seeing or worse feeling drops hit your feet is so fucking gross.

Yea. Honestly, me too. Most of the time at home at least. Unless I'm in a hurry.

Toilet paper and a Swiffer mop exists for that reason, TC. I usually have good aim, but during the times where I absolutely have to pee so badly to the point where it appears Ive picked up the Spreadshot power up from Contra, I always clean up my mess since I dont like the smell of drying urine on the bathroom floor.
