Storm's damage output is just at tickle levels for some reason and she has negative mobility.

This is simply incorrect. She's got a weird playstyle, but she can put out a ton of damage, on top of buffing her teammates to do more damage.

That being said, yes she does need a mobility buff.

Yeah Storm is confusing because I think she's meant to be played on the front line hovering above your tanks. I'm pretty sure her lightning attacks do AOE around her so she's not very useful trying to snipe from the back but that's how most people are playing her.

But she's too slow and squishy to be in the front line so it doesn't work.

She's good on mostly domination maps where the enemy team needs to come through a door as a choke. Then she can sit above the door and be kinda behind them. But anything where the enemy has a line of sight to her through a choke is a death sentence.

But Hela/Hawkeye nerfs could raise her stocks a little too.

Hit diamond.

Wonder if I'll have time to push for Grandmaster.

I find it really funny that Storm with her speed boost on moves slower than any Overwatch character at normal speed.

I have no idea why you would buff Cloak & Dagger who already feels extremely strong as the third best healer in the game. Buff the other ones instead or nerf Luna/Mantis.

Hela/Hawkeye nerfs are absolutely needed and that's a good call.

Wolverine getting buffed seems like it's needed but I'm afraid what that may end up looking like.

Venom/Cap movement improvements are good. They've never been on my radar as needing much changes though.

And yeah, Storm needs some kind of buff. She's got to be the least played character, because she feels awkward to play as.

Hoping they have smaller changes for other characters as well though.

I'm guessing they just give Venom/Cap 2 charges of their movement skills. So then they could jump in and jump out when it gets scary.

Cloak buffs are a little strange yeah. But the biggest problem with supports is that there's no reason to pick the ones without a defensive ult. I don't know how they ever fix that to make characters like Rocket or Jeff viable.

Making Luna/Mantis ults actually able to be countered by something that isn't another defensive ult would be a good start. I know support mains will hate it, but they should be able to be stunned out of them if every other ult in the game has some kind of weakness. It would promote protecting the Luna/Mantis and add some kind of counter play to it. It also doesn't help that Luna and Mantis have a stun of their own and do outrageous damage too, which also puts them ahead of the rest for those reasons.

Rocket and Jeff have useful ults. Jeff clears a point entirely and can insta-murder people situationally. Rocket can provide a huge offense buff that is great unless someone pops a defensive ult.

Im fairly sure Iron Man and Scarlet Witch can one-shot them with their ultimates. I mean still situational, but Luna isnt immortal during her Ultimate even if it feels like it

Removing some of the CC immunity would certainly help, yeah.

I wonder if they start balancing around player skills too like Overwatch does now (I believe). Because in the higher ranks there are definitely characters that need buffs like SW or Iron Fist but they would completely wreck the lower ranks if they were buffed.

people calling for healing nerfs also really need to keep in mind that it's still hard to get people to take healers in quick play as is

although I think the biggest fix to that is just to have more tanks and support. there are currently more DPS than tanks and healers combine so it's not really shocking that most people race to dps at this point

Constantly doomsaying very fair nerfs to the strongest healers in the game that aren't healthy for balance by threatening that people won't play them anymore fixes nothing. People aren't going to be more or less willing to play support in quick play as a result to changes. These people are either willing or not willing to play a support period, and balance changes wouldn't change that.

I've personally not experienced any issues getting a healer in quick play, honestly.

Also it's quick play and there are no stakes. So if people play whatever they want to play to get reps in or whatever, it actually doesn't matter. If you're so concerned about making sure people are playing support, jump on ranked.

Rivals opted in for Geforce Now so I might actually get to play this game.

You cant judge any balance off of Hawkeye.

Hawkeye and Hela are not going to stay in their current forms.

"Sometimes a healer can get sniped, so they're fair and balanced."

Just tone down their damage to compensate for the fact they have a stun on top of the rest of their crazy good kit. That's it.

Healers don't get played as much because a lot of people don't like supporting a team. It's not that deep. Because they can't dedicate 100% of their time to killing the enemy team, they play something that does.

This is insane to me. Of the matches I que up with my 2 friends who both can play tank and support, 90% of them 3 DPS are locked in by the 3 randoms before we even choose our characters.

I main Jeff and like I said my friends can play tank and supp but I am not overexaggerating in saying that randoms lock in DPS 90% of the time.

Yeah I locked healer in a recent game and I was the only one. We lost the first round and it was a little rough so I asked for 2nd healer.

The entire team flamed me so I just swapped to DPS too. We won the 2nd round somehow then someone swapped to healer on 3rd round and I swapped back too.

Then my whole team told the enemy team to report me because they said I was cheating.

It's not often I stick to ranked in these types of games but somehow the QP experience is worse than ranked for me so far.

As exciting as the new characters are Im more excited for the new maps because we need them badly

Not really much to see here. But it makes me wonder if they're going to have Overwatch style PVE missions against bosses like Dracula or something. The Jeff Splatoon mode makes me think they have other modes planned.

Wow there's a lot going on with her. After playing years of Overwatch I'm not confident about her ability to drop a shield in front of allies. I've seen too many people run past my Reinhardt shield to trust randoms with shields.

You realize that Jeff's win rate in comp is the 7th best right now at 44.39%, right? lol

I think the Jeff balance changes were perfectly fine. In fact, I have no problem with most of the changes, but Hela and Hawkeye probably should've been hit a little bit more. I'll be willing to wait and see how those nerfs do for them.

I think the Cloak & Dagger buffs are wholly unnecessary though. The patches that C&D leave on their ult are already so long and stall the game for so long to begin with, and more stalling is the last thing this game needs. Luna getting the most nothing nerf is funny though. Nerf that healing bubble into the ground though.

But they gave my guy Thor more health which seems so unnecessary but I won't complain. More importantly, they gave CC immunity to his ult so it can't just be immediately stuffed. I mean, it's still probably the worst ult in the game, but at least it's not simple to stop if the team has a brain among their 6 players!

Where are you seeing that? He's literally the 2nd from the bottom worst winrate.

Derp, that's on me. I hit the sort by win rate, hit comp, and it reset to play percentage. Fairplay to Jeffs!

Waitcould you kill Squirrel Girls Ultimate this whole time? I just thought it ran on a timer before it disappeared since I didnt even know it had health.

It's extremely hard to hit Squirrel Girl ult. Like you can try to hit it and it still misses most times. If you have some kind of AOE attack you have a better shot, which I assume will be the counter for it since they lowered the health on it with the homing buff.

Also I'm really surprised they buffed Namor's Ice Squid from Luna. He can wreck teams with the 3 squids.

This was the biggest surprise to me. Namors already strong, Lunas already strong, their team up is already strong, like why? But I main Luna as my support so...not complaning

Yes. He was easily the best vanguard so it's a fair trade off. They just nerfed his burst attack at further distances so he has to be closer to you for max damage and also his shield recovers at a slower pace.

Well he also did crazy damage on top of having an at will shield, which is why he ended up being the best. Hence why they hit his damage a bit too.

Yeah and he also has a good ult and an easy way to disengage on some maps with his fly.

Magneto is lacking in both of those areas

I felt like his damage was fine? I mean he does more than some of the other Vanguards, but thats more because other than Peni they feel like they do tickle damage. Probably couldve adjusted the cooldown or damage on just his ability first to see how that went, but hopefully hell still feel good. Hes probably my second favorite Vanguard to play so far
