The shooter probably lost someone very near and dear to them due to the CEOs actions.

It definitely feels like some Hitman Agent 47 shit. He knew when and where this guy was at 6am, had a silencer, had firearm training to quickly clear jams, had a getaway bike positioned down the street, had a burner phone, had those edgy words on his shell casings

My guess was the shooter has a terminal condition, and was declined coverage. So with nothing to lose, they went and got their revenge.

We won't honestly know until he's caught. It's real easy to distract the public with bread and circus, using a smidge of righteous rage to cover up a professional hit isn't unheard of. Personally? I think it was a pro from the video, or someone well trained that has nothing left to lose.

I know the articles call him the CEO, but he wouldn't have been well known enough for someone to target him if they were mad about claims or coverage being denied.

You can literally just Google that stuff. It's not outrageous to think a person pissed about a claim being denied would look into who runs the company denying it.

Police released a photo of the suspect with no mask on. They also started searching the hostel they think he was staying at. Apparently he kept his mask on most of the time there, but took it off at least once and got caught on surveillance during it

They're probably also gonna check gun ranges for witnesses and tips if anyone used that gun. He clearly had practice with it if he was able to quickly clear the jam on it after each shot and shoot accurately. Unless he practiced in the woods or something

I had to do a quick DuckDuckGo search to even see what the heck that gun looks like since Ive never heard of that model or manufacturer until now. Far be it from me to tell the Feds how to run their investigation, seeing as Im just a random shitposter on CE, but they might want to check the local gun shows since I doubt he bought that beast from an official retailer.

Yeah, they have footage of him without a mask on before the shooting, footage of him going into central park, and footage of him leaving central park without the backpack (so he must've ditched it somewhere in the park and probably has a bunch of evidence in it), fingerprints on a water bottle and disposed coffee cup, and a burner phone.

The hostel he stayed at requires ID to stay there, but authorities said he used a fake ID and after issuing a search warrant of his room, they apparently haven't found anything. He was also sharing his room with 2 other strangers I believe

there's supposedly a picture of him with his mask down, but the jacket looks different so there's no proof it's even the same person. it's cold in NYC right now, tons of people are wearing jackets and hats and masks. there's no confirmation the shooter is even a man, it could be a woman.

and even if they found a suspect they can't charge them without actual physical evidence.

So apparently that pic of him smiling was from some random chick flirting him with him and asking to see his smile behind the mask and that's how they got that one pic of him without his mask on

Not equating this to the shooting, but Anthem did roll back a pretty bullshit decision to limit how much anesthesia they would cover during surgery after this happened.

While it's good that happened, it's probably the absolute worst timing and thing to do. This isn't going to deter any future violence, it's basically giving vindication to feel the same as the shooter, a show that this is "right" and that it works.
