Got Venusaur EX in a wonder pick, still don't have an Ivysaur

I've gotten 3 EXs today, wild. Mewtwo and Arcanine from packs, Gengar from wonder

Just got Electric energy 8 turns in a row never using Dragonite again

beat a Pikachu EX deck with the "Team Rocket" Weezing/Arbok deck. We finally captured the rat!

Yeah

I'm finding dual energy decks are a bit obnoxious in this game where in the physical card game they weren't really annoying at all

I'm trying to use Butterfree in two color decks-- I just had a deck where I needed ONE fighting energy for my Golem to be able to do things and didn't get one until turn 7

I think the problem I'm having with this game is there aren't really very many good deck archetypes and the decks are so small you don't have a lot of wiggle room with what you try to do.

Like it's fun collecting the cards but I can't see a lot to do beyond

Mewtwo Ex + Gardevoir
Blastoise Ex + Misty
Pikachu Ex pure lightning
Moltres Ex + Big Fire

Everything else seems kinda bad? And nothing that's good seems to use two energy types.

Like you can tweak the supporting cards a bit but even those feel a bit like there aren't a ton of options.

Just going to be an issue until they release more expansions really

It's an issue that actual TCG had too. You ran Haymaker or some kind of Haymaker counter, or nothing.

Anyway, add Starmie EX/Articuno EX + Misty, I've seen this way more than Blastoise EX. Venusaur EX can work, he's a menace if he gets running. And legitimately, the Arbok/Weezing Dark-type deck is awesome.

Took 4 rare wonder pulls off the event but I finally got the darn Arcanine EX (as well as two Moltres and the rapidash I complained about with the first one).

Also FINALLY got my first charmander off one of the bonus pulls.

Just for fun I made a deck with Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur EX and all 3 energy types. It's about as bad as you'd expect but I managed to go 1-1 with it

just had a match in which my 2 pokeballs, 2 professor oaks, and 4 other basic pokemon were the bottom 8 cards in the deck

I got my first 3 star rare, Mewtwo! The animation it showed was actually surprisingly cool. Is there anyway to watch that again? Also it's kinda lame that I can't just tilt my phone to see 3D or shiny effects.

I actually had almost the opposite yesterday, in which all my basic Pokemon were on the top of the deck (and unfortunately I wasn't using Pikachu EX that match!)

Got my first 3 star this morning too, Charizard. Think I have every version of it now, except for the basic version.

Just Wonder Picked the 1 Dragonite, so that's all 24 of them collected. Wow!

Didn't expect to get all of them before the 15 4 EXes (still need Starmie and Blastoise).

I had a match where both of my Pikachu EX was in the bottom four. Exhausted all my Oaks and Poke Balls too.

Felt bad.

Every time I see a fun deck online I try it for a few games and am reminded how boring and coin flippy the battles are.

I get that this is a collecting game and the battles are basically an afterthought but damn they suck.

Uh be on the lookout from me wonderpick friends, I just pulled this and haven't seen this version anywhere else. But it played like a whole ass video when it revealed.

I opened a booster pack with three cards that I hadn't collected before (Nidoran female, Nidorina, standard Diglett), which I assume will be the last time that will happen until there's another expansion set.

These constant 10+ streaks of all dupe packs is convincing me that I made the right decision in stopping using packglasses.

It's just clear I'm going to be relying mostly on Wonder Picks even for the remaining 3s.

I don't get how every Mewtwo deck gets Gardevoir out right away. I can't get a stage 3 Pokemon out to save my life. Even if I put two copies of the line in my deck both copies of one of the stages always ends up at the bottom of the deck without fail (usually the middle one)

yeah, i get one of my Pidgeots out like every four matches

This makes me glad that I got all those Pikachu EXs and Zapdos EX so I don't have to worry about evolving to get to my heavy hitters.

Agree on the 3 cards being too rare. I am missing 33 of the 226 main cards, and 17 of those 33 are 3.

Only missing one 1 and it's Pikachu. No idea how I have avoided getting that one, as I have probably opened a few more Pikachu packs than any other type (I have the least number of cards still to collect from the Pikachu packs anyway). 9 x 2 to go, 6 x 4.

I don't know how many Pikachu packs I've opened but it's a lot. Also done 5 wonderpicks for Omastar and not got it yet. It's been well over a week since I got a new card. I am also still missing a common in the Pikachu pack

Saw a wonder pick in my list which had 3 Woobats in it. I feel sorry for the person who drew that.

Not much of note for me, but did get my second animated Charizard card in a couple of days earlier.

The Venusaur solo battle event is up. Get your Fire decks ready

If only I had a second Charmeleon so I could use both of my Charizards

Even after that Fire event and pulling nothing but Chairzard packs for a few weeks at this point I still only have one

I just had a game in intermediate where I just threw a Hypno in there to do the sleep mission

Literally drew 10 straight psychic energy and had a growlithe sweep because it's the only fire pokemon I had that could attack.

Got the alt art venusaur on my third pack, haunter and onix were the first two packs

Greninja x2, Jigglypuff x2, and Haunter x1 so far.

So far this is a lot more beatable than the Lapras event. AI is very bad. It will have a Bulbasaur/Ivysaur in the active spot, ignore it so it can put two energy on a Lilligant on the bench, then waste the 'saur's energy to retreat it so it can attack with Lilligant and put the energy back.

I got this yesterday and its the first Ive seen it. Only ever seen the other Moltres EX being played

Got the four not-Venusaurs all in a row with no dupes but then got a second Jigglypuff and Greninja, no luck on the Venusaur yet

Got back to back Venusaurs after that and now I have two of each except Onix

trying to auto-battle for the last two missions but the AI is so bad it keeps losing with a Fire deck
