Spent two keys and got her and Namora so that was nice.

High Voltage event has started

fun right now and since you can't lose points it seems like getting the card will be relatively painless?

Thank god because I'm still taunted by Cassandra Nova every other game for not wanting to engage in that awful Deadpool Diner.

And it's coming back around again which sucks.

My biggest gripe with this game mode is that it feels like one of those modes where the player base is going to have too much fun then the Devs claim it isn't healthy for the game because I am having a blast.

Give me this mode every time and not Deadpool's diner ever again

High voltage mode is ACTUALLY GOOD?

Infinite achieved with Darkhawk Discard. It's really hard to beat for the next hour while Kamar-Taj is featured.

Double rocks for Darkhawk, double discard from Moon Knight and Black Bolt, double Black Widow.

You're only ever going to win 2 cubes but there were a few games where my opponent only had 1 card to play on turn 6 from discards and not drawing.

Finished High Voltage.

The fact that you can get all the rewards without winning a single game makes this vastly superior to the Diner

High Voltage seems trivial to win if you do the missions which is nice

I still have like 3k to go but haven't played a lot

High Voltage was fun but I'm kinda glad it's not a permanent mode. It would be cool if they bring it back in the future and disable some of the more popular cards like Wong to see what other strategies emerge.

Being a limited time mode they can really introduce some wackier rules or ban more cards for a week.

And yeah this is infinitely better than Deadpool's Diner.

I'd like rotating gimmick modes. Definitely don't want to see this every month but imagine if each month had some other weird spin on the game.

Hit infinite with the bast/agent venom deck. only hit 90 the last few seasons cause the card backs were zzz but this one was good

Storm

Decks using Storm with War Machine and Legion to cut off all opposing plays on the final turn have remained strong, and while this sort of lockout combo can be novel it can get frustrating to play against repeatedly. Were happy with lots of other stuff that War Machine is enabling, so just want to make this particular combo come up less frequently and require more setup. This change aims to do that while giving Storm some more Power to contest her own location.

Misery
[Old] 4/7 - On Reveal: Repeat the On Reveal abilities of your other cards here, then destroy them.
[Change] 4/7 -> 4/8

While Misery has enabled a lot of cool stuff, shes fallen a little short of our hopes, in large part because she often removes so much Power from her location. With a little boost to her own Power, the other player should be forced to spend some effort to win Miserys location, giving the Misery player more room to capitalize on the other advantages shes generating.

Electro
[Old] 3/2 - On Reveal: +1 Max Energy. Ongoing: You can only play 1 card a turn.
[Change] 3/2 -> 3/3

Players have been trying out Electro in combination with War Machine and Misery, but overall the cards had trouble standing up to other Energy generating options. While an Electro decks plan is often to weasel its way out of his restriction, that doesnt always pan out and wed like playing one card a turn to be a more feasible option.

Rockslide
[Old] 3/3 - On Reveal: Shuffle 2 Rocks into your opponents deck.
[Change] 3/3 -> 4/5

Darkhawk decks have consistently been among the highest win-rate decks for a long time, even when their play rates dont catch up. However, drawing rocks can be a frustrating thing to play against, and thats been happening a lot more recently with new versions of this deck built around Misery or Agent Venom. This change aims to make players actually draw the Rocks less frequently (with fewer turns to draw them), and to make the Darkhawk package require a little more building around rather than slotting seamlessly into tons of shells.

Shadow King
[Old] 2/2 - On Reveal: Reset all cards here to their original Power.
[Change] 2/2 -> 2/3

Speaking of Agent Venom, the card has spawned a lot of strong decks! While none of them look so powerful that they require a nerf at the moment, weve been concerned by the low degree of counterplay to this suite of strategies. Whenever possible, we want players to have some way to improve their matchups if theyre losing to the same strategy a lot. Since Shadow King is the most direct way to negate Agent Venoms boost, we want to make him easier to include in a wide range of decks.

Klaw
[Old] 5/4 - Ongoing: The location to the right has +8 Power.
[New] 5/4 - Ongoing: The location to the right has +7 Power.

While Klaw hasnt been dominating the top of the metagame, he has consistently been very strong since this buff, and is having an outsized impact at lower collection levels. As a Series 1 card, this has an outsized impact on newer players, so in the interest of diversifying their metagame, were taking Klaw down a notch since we still expect him to remain a reasonable option with wider collections.

Daredevil
[Old] 2/2 - On turn 5, you get to see your opponents plays before you make your own.
[Change] 2/2 -> 2/3

Daredevil is a beloved character and offers a unique way to play SNAP. Weve been wary of making this card too strong, especially in lower collection score play, because it can slow games down a lot. But we think Daredevil has room to improve for his fans without being played so often that it makes a big difference to overall game length.

Miek
[Old] 1/0 - When you discard a card, this gains +1 Power and can move next turn.
[Change] 1/0 -> 1/1
Weve been excited to see traditional discard strategies make a resurgence with Scorns release! Theyve generally been performing well and using a wide variety of the usual suspects, but Mieks performance has been lagging. Weve considered buffing this card for a while, but didnt want to overshoot on the new discard packages. We feel confident now that Miek has room to get a little stronger and serve as another option in building these decks.

Typhoid Mary
[Old] 4/10 - Ongoing: Your other cards have -1 Power.
[New] 4/10 - Ongoing: Your other cards here have -1 Power.
Typhoid Mary has stayed the same for a long while now, but as Sauron decks have fallen out of favor, she hasnt had many applications. She can look appealing for Skaar lists, but hasnt really been an option because she brings your other high-Power cards below Skaars threshold. Were making a change to help these cards combine the way many players want them to, and to make Typhoid Mary a more feasible option in decks that play more cards to the board too.

Storm feels kinda silly now not gonna lie. Everything else looks good (though not sure why Shadow King needed a buff)

Yeah RIP to Storm. It's weird they say that they like the other applications for War Machine so they don't want to revert him.

Infinaut, Ebony Maw, and Goose are pretty much the only other interactions lol.

That Typhoid Mary change is pretty big I think though. Maybe it's time for Zabu to return.

I don't know if storm is RIP but she seems super redundant with Prof X now.

Maybe they should revert her back to 3 and just change flooded to say you can't play cards here on turn 6. Still allows the Legion combo to shut down the game on turn 6 but you get an extra turn of counter play too.

I mean sure with the change you can still cheat her out early or Magik but in most cases she's just going to stop plays on turn 6.

Yeah my vault was pretty lame too. I had the watercolor Daredevil which was nice but I'm not going to buy that. My gold card was Frog Thor.

But the cards I want are purple anyway.

I just want Hipp Devil Dino, Moon Girl and Domino to show up in there.

Domino isn't actually available in the vault yet and I got no Hipp cards available this time around anyway.

The golden card Frog Thor was 2500 gold btw.

It just seems like it would make more sense in the 1400 slot. Variant "rarity" has always been pretty arbitrary in this game I thought these would at least line up with how much they originally cost.

I enjoyed High Voltage actually and felt like I played a good amount but damn, I didn't even get halfway through the rewards. Feels pretty bad :/ it also was way too short. Why do the other bad events last so much longer?

I'm pretty sure they've all been a week and it just seemed faster because it didn't suck.

Doing missions was key. You basically needed to do 8 full mission sets to get Scream. Which is pretty ok considering you can do that in about 1/3 the mission reloads.

Yeah that was not an event you made a deck to win with, because at 20 a pop you were never finishing. You just had to shoot for mission completion

My main deck used was Arishem Agatha because it made getting the "spend x energy" missions easier.

Agatha was actually surprisingly good in the format though. With Arishem there was a chance you could play her turn 1 and worst case she randomly drops herself turn 2.

Decided Anti-Venom was too fun to pass up even though I think he kinda sucks.

Got Hydra Bob (who I wanted!) + him off two keys. Very good result-- first good random cache I got since way back when Silver Samurai was released and I got x-23
