Yankees do have home field advantage throughout every round till the World Series though. I never put too much stock into home field advantage, but I do think for the Yankees over the past decade it has mattered quite a bit.

Also, I'm predicting that the Orioles lose to the Royals.

We got a real good chance of seeing a World Series rematch with the teams that are in the playoffs (six possible combos of the match-ups since 2000), especially if the Astros get there (gonna be hard to get past the Tigers now too tho).

The offense has absolutely bottomed out over the last 3 weeks. There's an argument to be made that they were moderately overachieving to begin the season, but most of the last month has been pretty brutal for the team at the plate.

Today was pretty much a perfect microcosm of how win games: dominant starting pitching backed by an excellent defense, and just enough offense to make it interesting. With the bullpen having a good couple of weeks, it's almost a shame that the bats aren't there but come what may, the Royals have already exceeded expectations for this season tenfold.
