I always find it fascinating how if you look at Youtube comments (reliable I know) you'll see this videos where dudes (and it's always fucking dudes) talking at length about a movie or TV show or book or game and then the comments with 17k likes are things like "I have no interest in X and know nothing about it but I love watching Bryan and Adams talk about it for 2 hours."

And I don't think I could do that. I've never seen A Handmaidens Tail or listened to K-pop or watched the Disney+ TV shows. I couldn't imagine watching a bunch of dudes break it down for hours. Even if I liked the dudes.

I have watched most of RLMs videos and have seen about 10% of the stuff they talk about.

Is it a YouTuber I subscribe to/ normally watch?

if so, yes mostly

I prefer to watch videos about stuff I'm not interested in playing or watching myself. I mean I don't really need a review to influence me if it's something I want to actually experience myself.

Yeah. Hearing other people talk about their interests is interesting to me, even if I personally have little to no interest in whatever they're talking about.

Channels like LGR and LockpickingLawyer. I don't like music and movie reviews.

But I watch youtube videos about real life stuff that doesn't really impact me or history stuff that is neat but not particularly relevant to me.

Some sports stuff for leagues/sports I don't keep up with I'll watch, like videos about Baseball, Hockey, and Basketball but that's usually from existing creators I've seen before or something that at least is based in something interesting (like the creator of basketball not being that good of a coach at it)

I don't watch reviews in general.

Reviewers no, but YouTubers in some cases. The one case is the series Pitch Meeting by Ryan George, which I'll generally watch regardless of whether or not I've watched the movie in question, as it's just a hilarious series. The other case is that I've frequently watched doctors reacting to medical shows and lawyers reacting to legal shows, even sometimes when I haven't watched the show in question, as they tend to be pretty informative regardless. In that second case though, I do still prefer when I have seen the thing in question, so I understand the context better.

I've watched a ton of Marcel Vos videos. Never played RollerCoaster Tycoon.

Youtubers yeah. As long as i find them funny or entertaining in some other way the subject they use to make that happen is irrelevant.

Not generally. If someone I watch regularly is talking about something I might have interest in I will trust their opinion enough to watch their video and see. But I skip plenty of videos about stuff I know I don't care about and have never gone out of my way to watch someone talk at length about Bridgerton or something.

Nope, kinda blows my mind that people do this. Its like if I spent my entire day looking up info about a sports team I dont like, talking about that team I dont like, and just only having that on my mind. Cant be healthy at all.
