You can choose any car in the world that's worth $500,000. But you can't sell it or use it in anyway to make a profit. Or straight cash. Which would you take?

Cash. The car would be cool, but as soon as it needs any kind of work done it's either going to cost me thousands or just be an oversized paper weight.

I'd probably be too paranoid to drive a car that expensive anyway. It brings you too much attention, and I'd be worried about people hitting it. Insurance and maintenance costs have to suck too.

Money. Id rather have just a normal truck. Not some expensive car that cost a lot to maintain and might need to be taken to a specialty shop that doesnt even exist where I live in the Midwest for as something as simple as an oil change. Insurance and registration would be high.

Choosing the vehicle is simply stupid for most people unless you are so wealthy money is meaningless.

So, get money or pay money to insure and register a car that I don't need? This one's a toughie!

I could get a sub-mobile for that price, but then I'd have to pay home AND auto insurance

The money you can at least appreciate. I'm not in any fiscal position to be having a $500,000 car.

$500,000 won't buy me my dream car, so I'll take the cash.

My dream car is significantly cheaper than $500K

The issue with having a 500k car is that the insurance on it will bankrupt you if you aren't making enough. My cousin won a dodge viper from a raffle, valued around 80k CAD about 10 years ago. He sold it off after a year because the insurance payments were way too much.

Plus in my area, with the roads we have, I'd never be able to sell it, as its winter for 5 months of the year and the roads are destroyed most times.
