To the 24th CE Steam Summer Sale Event!!

Here's how it works:

1. The 24th CE Steam Summer Sale Event will commence on Thursday June 27th at 10am PDT.
2. Post your Steam wishlist and maybe someone will buy you a game! Make sure your wishlist is set to PUBLIC.
3. If you are gifted a game, post in this topic stating "[GameFAQs username] has gifted me [Name of game]". If we all follow the same format it will make for much easier record keeping.
4. Gifts will be recorded on this Google Sheets worksheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iSMMUth61Z9PtHb87NpjSbYuawU-Ok-zUdfzMHSsDx4/
5. Humble Bundle/Choice Keys may be given away and will be counted for the entirety of this event. For every five keys given away you will receive 1 entry into the final draw. Please mark posts for keys received as such for ease of record keeping (eg. "[GameFAQs username] has gifted me a key for [Name of game]").
6. This event will conclude on Monday July 8th at 2pm PDT. Shortly after the final draw will be conducted.
7. As I am conducting this event and the final draw, unless otherwise stated on a prize-by-prize basis, I am excluding myself from any prizes to remain fully impartial and transparent.
8. The number and value of prizes shall be determined on an ongoing basis as set by those wishing to contribute, and as such may not be finalised until the conclusion of this event. Please note that to receive a gift card from the final draw you must be friends with the gift card giver on Steam for a period of 3 days (72 hours) or more. This is a requirement of Steam and we have no control over this.
9. If you wish to contribute to the final draw, please indicate here what your prize(s) will be.
10. The prize worth the most shall be awarded to the person with the most gifts given. All other prizes shall be drawn randomly using an online random number generator pitted against the order of the gifts being given. Prizes shall be drawn from most value to least value. To help spread the joy around only one prize shall be awarded randomly to any one person. This means the person who takes the top prize for most gifts given will still be eligible for a randomly drawn prize, and as such is the only person with the potential to receive two prizes.
11. You may officially post your wishlist up to 3 times per topic. If you abuse this rule you will be found out and ridiculed extensively!! :P Continued violations of this rule may result in you being excluded from the final draw and/or the entire event. Please note that wishlists in your sig are not counted towards official posts.
12. If you live outside of the USA, region codes/locking may prevent you from gifting users in certain countries and vice versa. This is a limitation of Steam due to regional pricing differences and as such falls outside our jurisdiction. You may purchase keys from third party sites to give away to get around this limitation, with said keys still counted as gifts. Please note that keys given away from lists posted in this topic will be counted as keys and not gifts.
13. You may conduct your own giveaway within this event, provided your giveaway does not hijack and override this event. You will need to disclose all rules of your giveaway up front so everyone knows exactly what is required. It is preferable for your giveaway to be based on skill, either in full (ie. tell me why youd like to win the game Im giving away and the best story/reason wins) or partially (ie. first person to guess the game Im describing wins) rather than purely random (ie. pick a number between X and Y, or guess my favourite number, etc.).
14. And last but by no means least, this is a friendly, fun event. Discussion of games given, wished for or just because is highly encouraged. Please be courteous to one and all and, most importantly, have fun!

Post 1. Hitting topic 5 with the dwindled numbers is great. Everyone's so generous.

Now that the Contest is almost over, it's time for my not-quite-always-but-periodic-enough minicontest! This time it's called... Did we REALLY post that?

Rules are simple:

- Pick a game from your wishlist, worth $20 or less.

- Find a GameFAQs post with the name of the game in it (I won't be superpicky, "SotN" works as "Symphony of the Night") and quote it here. The message has to have been posted before this Summer Sale started (so June 27th) and can be from whichever user or board.

- I will choose the best message, be it the funniest, most ridiculous, most informative... Surprise me.

While as mentioned, some of your strategies have been a little problematic, 32 deaths to kill the heart seems kind of normal from what I've seen in LPs and my own experience. A lot of Binding of Isaac is just getting serviceable items and some runs early on will be ruined due to the lack of anything good. More experienced players will tend to be able to compensate more for bad item drops of course, but it does take awhile to build up that experience.

Because I think it defeats the purpose of playing games in this genre: a survival horror should stress the player, and keep him/her questioning whether he/she brought enough ammunition, healing items put him/her under pressure with limited inventory space. Again, it's supposed to be a survival horror.

In other words, if you want to play SIGNALIS with options enabled which turn it into some kind of Duke Nukem you might as well go play Duke Nukem.
