Even if it doesn't, the federal government guarantees it. The right-wing SC may have dismantled the VRA, however there is still some semblance of it.
This seems like something that would be defeated by any true-hearted judges. Still, Republicans always proving how hard they want to end democracy. Kansas' SC are pretty strict constitutionalist. Which is why they also ruled that banning abortion was unconstitutional awhile back which is what caused right wing-nuts to try to pass a constitutional amendment that got voted down.
In this case because the KS constitution didn't explicitly state voting as a constitutional right, they say it isn't. --- 1 line break(s), 160 characters allowed ... Copied to Clipboard!

No doubt. The SC should also be expanded to 12/13 judges, not because it would help Dems (obviously it would if done under Biden), but because each judge is supposed to preside over a circuit and currently a few of them have 2. The 13th is a federal circuit, so I'd be fine with accepting 12 for the conventional reason they exist. Unfortunately, no Dem will expand it because of timidity/"seeming political" and Republicans will probably expand it next time they get in just to show they don't give a fuck about anything except securing their power. --- My metal band, Ivory King, has 2 songs out now - allmylinks.com/ivorykingtx (all of our links there so you can choose which one you'd prefer to use) ...
