I mean, you could very well argue that with the market much more crowded now, and people having access to the whole of music history at their fingertip, it's actually a greater achievement to stay at the top for that long.

When you cement yourself as a popular artist with a fanbase, not really. Fans will actively do their best to manipulate streaming numbers to make their favorites stay on top longer, and it doesnt even cost more money.

I know who SZA is and have heard some of her songs, but I dont actively listen to her. And black culture as a whole extends far beyond rnb billboard numbers. I quite literally have POC friends that dont listen to SZA.
